Pictures of Christmas week...
Saturday Evening:
Throughout this post, you'll find that Wesley is rather talented
when it comes to making blonde facial expressions. It's remarkable.
Chef John and Charlotte were so gracious as to grace us with their presence for the evening . . .
Off to see a movie . . . *smile*
Sunday Morning (THE morning . . .)
(He could hardly stop talking! Good grief...

)
It was really cold . . .
Sunday afternoon~ Wesley and Rachel:
Rachel's a Saint. *grin*
Sunday Evening~ Lessons and Carols:
(She's really too cute for her own good...

)
Supper with Wesley and Rachel afterwards:
*inserts non-existent picture of Hannah and Micah here*
Darn it. Ah well... onward ho!
Christmas Eve:
Fun with CMFM hats and leetle boys, and one big boy . . .
We went into town to run some errands wearing our hats.
(We being myself, Micah, and our three chaperons.)
One of our chaperons... he does his job well.
I went to my Grandparents for a while that evening where I encountered certain other little people. . .

He [Isaiah] is my Dad incarnate . . .
She [Ellaina] is ridiculously adorable . . .
He [Josiah] was in denial of my presence all evening . . .
And Lydia is just . . . Lydia. She'll be eight in May. *blinks repeatedly*
(Two cousins out of the twenty two or three... and that's just first cousins.)
Cousin Katie . . .

Cousin Jordan . . .
And the rest were everywhere, but at the same time nowhere to be found. Not for pictures anyhow.
And then there's Ali . . .
Back out to Weatherford . . . [yay!]
As you can see, still playing around with our snazzy head wearage . . .

To bed soon after . . .
Christmas:
I didn't get any pictures from Christmas morning, as we were all too
busy running around trying to find our stockings, opening presents, and
chasing people around with Nerf guns. We had a nice relaxing Christmas
afternoon, and that evening a certain couple arrived and we went
caroling. After we returned from our outing, we had another stream of
gift giving with Santa and Mrs. Claus which I
did manage to get a few shots of:
Shay-- err, I mean, Santa . . .
Mr. and Mrs . . .
(By the by, I'm sporting my gift... those really awesome beads. *nods*)
I don't have any pictures from Wednesday, unfortunately... I was just a
little distracted. Things quieted down some, Grandparents came over,
we played games, listened to music, worked on a puzzle, and other such
like things. That afternoon Micah, Melody, Linds, Shayne and myself
took Grandma Bettie home, and after that went to Dairy Queen for
blizzards. After an adventuous ride home, we went out to the apartment
to watch (or attempt to watch) and episode of "The Office". We ran
into some technical difficulties, and after some time of trying to cope
with incompetent computers and choppy internet connections, we went
inside, ate supper, and visited.
Thursday Shayne and Linds left, and we all slept in a bit. Micah and I
spent the afternoon looking through my really spiffy quote book he gave
me for Christmas:
(The middle one . . .)
He did a real good job. *pleased*
The other two books you see pictured were also gifts from him, but they
weren't bestowed to me on Christmas. Later you'll read mention of a trip to Barnes and Noble . . . what you'll not read of is the insistence of a certain generous young man in the purchase of said books. (Oops, I guess you just did...) The top is a new journal, and the
bottom is obvious. It's also lovely. *smile of contentment*
While I'm at it, this is one other thing I received . . .
Later that afternoon, we all piled in to go see "Enchanted". On our
way into town, we say a strangely familiar face pass in a familiar
white car, and it hit me... "THAT'S CHRISTINE!" I had completely
forgotten she was coming, so we called her up and told her to turn
around, and she came with us to the movie. It was all so conveniently
timed.

After the movie we went out to eat, and then headed home
where Christine and I followed up with our tradition to stay up till
ungodly hours of the night talking.
The next day [Friday] we had some Old Navy returns to make, and some other
errands to run, so Micah, Christine, Evan and I went into town around
11:30 and were out pretty much all day doing a various and sundry of
things... we went to Old Navy, Ridgmar Mall, Fuzzy's Taco Shop,
Downtown Ft. Worth. We got a couple of pictures at the mall, but
shortly after that my camera died. And the world was very sad...
*sighs*
Evan . . .

Saturday we met Rachel for a girls trip to Miss B's Antique shop . . . absolutely lovely little store.
(Christine and Rachel . . .)

Antique shops make ones photos look antique . . .

The Spartan worrior, The Typical, and The Lucy.

After we got home, Christine, Ali and I spent the rest of the afternoon and into the evening making pizza for supper. (Thanks to Clarke for the fabulous pizza dough, by the by.

)
Spent the rest of the evening reading and listening to music with Micah... shed a couple of tears.
My only photo from Sunday . . . *sniff* The day before he left . . .

I spent Monday afternoon with him . . . we ran into town with Clarke and the little boys to buy ice cream and soda for floats, went home, created said floats, visited, ate supper, helped someone pack, and watched "A Charlie Brown Christmas" (yeah, we were a little behind...

). Right before he left, Mrs. Hurd offered to give him a haircut . . .

Heh, I didn't think he had that much hair to cut... *coughs*

He left around 9:30 . . .
We played several games of hearts which was gads of fun, even if I was really bad. *grin* I just apply my bowling theology to this as well... if you can't be the best, be the worst; that way you can be the best in that you are the very worst. Whenever I'm bowling, I'm notorious for either srikes or zeros. It's glorious fun.

And actually, I was THIRD in the end... Ali placed fourth. But she was playing two games at one time...
and she got first in the other game.
New Year came and went almost unnoticed... we gave eachother well wishes and kept on with whatever we were doing... reading, talking, or watching a movie. It was different, but then again, many things were different this holiday season... too many to mention. I'm sure I know what you all must be thinking was different for me, and you're right... but that was only one [big] thing. It was a very relaxing evening/ morning... a good start to the new year.
And thus, my Christmas break ended . . .
That's all for now . . . must be running along.
Cheers!
