SHE LI-IVES!!!! Whoa, I have not posted in so long... and now that I have the time and the inclination, my mind has allowed everything considered 'worthwhile' to leak out my ears. I remember Dan tagged me, and then Just-Call-Me-Joe did too, so I suppose I shall respond before it becomes a national emergency. What am I doing again? Ah, 6 weird things and then some people I want to similarly bug. How about I say 6 weird things and not bug peeps, cuz I am so out of the loop I have no idea who has already done it and who hasn't....I'm pooped.

1. I have an ongoing infatuaution with the literary characters Peter Pan and Sherlock Holmes...started when I read the books in middle school and continues to this day.

2. My favorite kind of cookie is chocolate-chip cookies 'cept without the chocolate chips. Go figure.

3. I am a sucker for accents...I will sit and listen to a cool accent for hours, regardless of content of conversation. And if it's an attractive guy weilding an accent...there is no hope.

8. My favorite number is 8. In honor of this weird fact, we are replacing 4 with 8. Ha-HA!

5. One of the things on my life to do list is live in a tree house. For real. At least a month to count- though if rent isn't too high...I'll let you know.

6. I amuse myself in my head by finding amusing names for rock bands... like...Cat Eating Lightbulbs (cuz then you can't figure out whose doing the eating of what) but in deference to my brother I have to admit that as soon as I went to give you guys an example my mind did that whole brain fart thing so I will put in writing that that example is Jacob Smiths. 'Smoked Flamingos'- first album 'Pink Weed.'  I can't think of any of my favorites..whatever.

There we have it. I refuse to regale you with unnecassary or more accurately, unwanted details, so if your life lacks entertainment make a ruckus and I will post something with actual personal details in it...

In each century since the beginning of the world wonderful things have been discovered. In the last In the last century more amazing things were found out than any century before. In this new century hundreds of things still more astounding will be brought to light. At first people refuse to believe that a strange new thing can be done, then they begin to hope it can be done, then they see it can be done- then it is done and all the world wonders why it was not done centuries ago. - Frances Hodgson Burnett-  The Secret Garden

Captivating: Unveiling the Mystery of a Woman's Soul
By John Eldredge, Stasi Eldredge
see related

By show of hands, who has ever experienced the feeling I am about to describe. You have had a ton of marvelous adventures since you last posted, but by the time you sit down to write about them, you feel like it's old news (regardless of whether or not people know what actuaully went down). And then when you finally get the time, the umph and the kung-fu to write something, you can't think of anything pertinent to say? I find myself in the self same posish. but don't really feel too bad; because....dum da da dum da dum!!! I have bologna.

Life is so beautiful- isn't it so wonderful to know that this is not even all there is? The sound of a little kid laughing cuz he's being tickled, the feel of sand on your barefeet, the smell of homemade coffee cake, The face of the Lord is more beautiful than the sunset off a tropical island (Papua New Guinea) reflected back off the ocean (the Pacific, is the favorite generally...) He is SO wonderful to share His beauty with us... I don't know about you but when I am sad I just want to be surrounded by nature, because of it's beauty; it comforts. A song that gives you goosebumps-you want to let it wash over you, you want to be a part of it; it invites. When you experience something beautiful it makes you want to be better; it inspires. The look on your sisters face when she was in pain, and you somehow managed to pop the right thing in her back so she can stop crying and breathe again; that beauty reminds us that we were created not for this world of pain and cement and litter, but something better.

Peeps, Captivating is an amazing book. I never even began to realize how I was made in God's image as a woman, not just a person, til I started. I am only up to chapter 5 and I already wish I could put what this book can teach us in a syringe and inject it into the fleshy parts of the entire world. I miss the Girls Side at WOLBI where I could just walk out into the hall and find someone I could discuss it with, I want to hear your thoughts and impressions, my beautiful muffins. *Looks around at her friends, and spiritual family, and thinks they are better then chocolate chip cookies without the chocolate chips* I miss you guys.            nutmeg

I was kissed today. His name is Ellis. I know, I know. But, girls, if you could see this guy, you would see why; shaggy blond hair, laughing blue eyes, a mischevious grin, 2 feet tall...

One of the little tykes in my class at work...I have the older one year olds, and Ellis and I have a special relationship. (If some of you are wondering at my quickly diminishing communication skills, this is why; I hang outwith little small things who can say 2 words "No" and "Mine" ) Basically, he never listens to a word I say and I would like to wring his neck most of the time. But today he wrapped his arms around my neck and kissed my cheek. My day was suddenly better.

This Jesus guy...He's amazing.

Hm...I have been tagged apparently. Usually that would mean that I am 'It' and have to run around like a madperson poking at the air that the other participants in this momentary lapse of concern for our usual standard of laziness have just vacated, so that they can take their turn as 'It'. Which is basically just short for  'The Biggest Idiot of Them All'. However, fortunatly for my 1:00 in the morning self, this appears to be a more stationary game...like Candy Land meets Balderdash... I like tag. Ok, here we go...back to someone elses xanga to rememeber what I am doing again... Ah yes.

10 simple pleasures, it is...coming right up, with a side of watercress and overcooked green beans

(in no particular order, sans one)

1. Making my Jesus smile

2. Wind so strong it picks your hair up off your shoulders.

3. Little kids snoring.

4. Food fights with nice gushy stuff.

5. Making friends with random people, like the Sushi lady...

6.Hot french fries

7.The feeling you get when you wake up and think it is Friday and then realize it's Saturday  and you can sleep for 2 more hours

8.Daydreams and philosophical discussions

9.VeggieTales, icecream, and helium balloons (with batman on 'em) all at the same time? Sure, why not?

10.Swimming underwater when the sunlight makes the ripples golden on the bottom of the pool.

There you have it! And my more informed, well read readers might notice that I am once again, writing after midnight. *Clicks her tongue and wags her finger under her own nose (which is more difficult than it sounds (you hit yourself in the shnoz) you try it!) * Now is iy my turn to get someone...guh.  If these people have not been claimed by others and been previously knocked over by and emphatic shove, accompanied by a loud "You're IT!" I will commence with the tagging thereof.

1.Babs

2.Just call me Joe Timmer

3. Miami Dave (I laugh in the face of danger, hahahahaaaa!)

and if I am allowed 4. Jake Smith
