| 6 Months Today was Isaac's first time at a funeral. Pappy N died of a stroke, unexpectedly on Monday. He was an amazing person in his lifetime. At 84 years old, he was still farming full time. In fact, he had done the morning milking the same day that he passed away. I am so happy to have pictures of Isaac with him, taken less than a month ago at Rhodes Grove Camp Meeting.
Isaac has been on the go, ever since he learned to crawl at five months. Now he is trying to walk along furniture. Time to baby-proof my house!
Also trying to introduce solids - ha, right! We'll keep trying.
A favorite hobby, destroying the newspaper. He loves it.
And, a sad day for my baby Isaac: a haircut! It was starting to get in his eyes, so I just wanted to trim a bit. Well, 5 month-old babies don't hold still, so the final product was much shorter than anticipated! Oh well, he doesn't seem to care that he looks sorta nerdy!
September 25th was 6 month pictures, taken at Picture People.
Okay, this months update is done! Have a blessed month serving Jesus!
| On the Move! Isaac has continued to grow and learn in leaps and bounds... literally at times. He is a pro at crawling now and both bottom teeth are through, finally! He looks so little to be crawling around but he is super cute. He really surprised us yesterday when, after hearing him awaken from his nap, I walked in his room to find him like this:
Needless to say, Sherwin moved his crib mattress down to eliminate Isaac's "flip risk." But now that Isaac knows how to pull himself up, he is doing it at every opportunity. Camp Meeting was an amazing experience for us again this year. We had fun with the family on Sunday, especially with Isaac and Everett.

Everett is mad at Isaac. Look at that face!
Life is filled with little miracles and blessings: Kids! God bless!
| 5 Months, August 25th! I have been amazed at the many milestones Isaac has reached in the past few weeks. It was like a milestone growth spurt! Just in August, Isaac has: *Been reaching for (and throwing) toys *Got his first tooth (right, front, lower) *Starting laughing *Imitating facial expressions *Rolling back and forth *Started to sit up, with help and on his own *and, incredibly, got up on hands and knees, as if to crawl.
Alright, if you're not a parent, that's a total yawn but it's funny how a person changes when they become a parent. Recent Pics:
Isaac discovered his tongue this month also.
Chewing and playing.

Getting ready to sit up.
Busy at play! ************************************************ On a different note, I am currently still working, about one shift a month. I've done a few 4 or 5 hour shifts here and there, and those are fine. But that once a month 13 hour night shift wipes me out for at least a day after. I don't know if it'll get better as time goes on, but thankfully, Sherwin has put no pressure on my to work if I feel I can't do it anymore. It's really made me think quite a bit lately about the never-ending debate of women in the home vs. career. I love being a mom and at home, but yet the thought of all those years in college makes me feel as though I need to keep working, if only once a month. I would love to know what some other Christians have to say on the topic, especially if it's been a personal journey.
