I am helping my friend advertise this event for her church. Please read on...

Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.
-Heb 13:3
We are blessed to live in a country where we can freely enjoy the freedom to worship our Savior. The freedom to meet to pray. The freedom to attend a church service without threats of harassment and violence. In other parts of the world, the situation is very different.
Unimaginable suffering is taking place even now, for the sake of the gospel. Families broken, dreams crushed, and lives tormented. Yet despite the severity of the situation, surprisingly few people and even Christians in the United States are aware of this. From an interview with a North Korean woman:
Halfway through our interview, she begins to cry. The joy she expressed when telling me of the many believers has been replaced by anguish as she tells me about three of her workers who were executed and eight who remain in prison. I reluctantly ask her if those who were executed were done so publicly, and she nods her head yes. She worries most about a young man who has suffered so severely in prison that she actually wished they had executed him as well.
At the end of the interview, I ask her what we can do. First, she asks us to pray. The second answer catches me off guard as she looks intently at me with watery eyes: ¡°Tell the world. Please tell the world about our brothers and sisters in North Korea. Please.¡±
We in the western church have an amazing opportunity to stand with our persecuted brothers and sisters. No other church has the wealth of finances and influence that we enjoy here in the west. Through our prayer and actions, we can make a difference on behalf of the persecuted church. What can be done must be done.
As we support our persecuted brothers and sisters, our churches, fellowships, and families will receive the passion and fire for the gospel that those that are suffering for it posses. We will receive the reward of serving not only our brothers and sisters, but Jesus Christ Himself.
We would like to invite you and your fellowship to join in supporting our persecuted brothers and sisters by attending a rally to be held in Kane 130 on June 1, 2006 at 7:00 pm. Featuring worship led by King¡¯s Fools and a message from Peter Xu Yongze (pastor to ¡°The Heavenly Man¡± and founder of the ¡°Born Again Movement¡± house church network in China), it will be a night sure to inform and inspire.
