Rainy weather

Ah...for those of you who know me well and probably the only ones who read this...then you realize how much I enjoy cold, damp weather. It brings a new life or a change of season to the earth. For me, the cold represents the change that is happening and brings with it the desire to cuddle up with a blanket, pillow, and my journal and just record all of my observations. How time changes us, as I now sit here in front of my computer, so that my thoughts may be shared with others. No worries, I still indulge in keeping a journal.

As I was saying, cold weather brings change. This thought for me is exciting, as we don't always know what's coming, and for some of us that brings hope. Hope in God, hope in others, and hope in ourselves. That God will mold us and change us; that He will stretch us and challenge us; and that He will always call us home (to come spend time with Him and in His Word).

This is a season for dreaming, hoping, and believing. Change is good. It brings with it new blessings and challenges. Come embrace this season and the difference God will make in you this season.

Always,

Rebekah

Thoughts

Thoughts. Are we always constantly thinking about something or worrying about this or that? It does seem like that, but at least we know we're alive! I guess one of the times I find it most difficult to think about deep issues and sometimes the most enlightening time to  think about such things is when I'm tired. The next day I can always thinnk through things more clearly, but perhaps with too much thought and questions.

Anyways, life continues to be good. There is always a need for prayer, guidance, and faith; but that a part of who we are as Chrisitans. Constantly, we look to our heavenly Father for answers to things which we do not understand and that is how it should be. He loves us, listens to us, and wants what is best for us....just like parents only more so. So take heart and trust in God to guide you in every situation you encounter.

In Christ,

Rebekah

SDC and Mother's Day

It's going to be Sunday in 1 minute! I had an awesome weekend, aside from missing and exit and other crazy car stuff. God kept us safe and I thank Him for that.

Back to the story. I went to SDC this weekend and it was awesome. My sister, Chris, and I road all of the new rides except the kiddie roller coaster, the leap frogs, lady bugs, and the wings of something (except Chris wouldn't ride dumbo). The Tea cups were really cool. If anyone wants a workout, just do that for an hour! It was a lot of fun.

So my favorite part was watching Chris get soaked on the Lost River, even though that may not be his favorite! So instead of me just writing about it, tell me what you all think? If you were there, what was your favorite part?

Don't forget to tell your mom, "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!"

One Final Left!!!

I am down to one final, my research paper! It is very interesting, as I was studying online communication in relation to gamers. There is sooo much to say and describe in one paper! I is somewhat frightening though, as it is continuously becoming more like the real world. One is able to earn gold by posting, by a house, go fishing, go to a casino. However, soon I fear it will reach the point where it will either die or go out of control. Then we really will become like the matrix, only we will willingly be setting in front of the computers and live in our virtual world. Perhaps, I am going too far...but I don't know. All the signs point to it.

hmmm...

It's truely a Monday!

I believe that the entire body of college students are swamped with finals! That is unless they managed to finish before the first week of May! Four day or 96 hours, whichever you prefer. Alright, back to my research!

See ya later,

Rebekah
