well my matt is back in mount vernon for the weekend and i must say i'm sad that he's gone....he's my protection, and i feel like the helpless girl i never wanted to be. what can i say? i loves you matt...

so my sleep schedule has been so thrown off since matt started working at night again....not only that, i've been working a week straight before i get my day off so i try to clean, and do laundry, and all of that good stuff when i get home at 9 or so, as well as study. the result from all of this is loss of sleep, hence me falling asleep in class. today i got called out by mr. clark..."let's all be quiet while miss ramon takes a nice little nap." OMG. i had just closed my eyes....wouldn't you figure? lol it's just my luck...that man, i tell you...what a smartass....

there's nothing like waking up early in the morning to come to the prep room. this one was a decomp which means he'd been settin' a while...i would rather be in the prep room rather than be in class though...it's just insane....

How in the hell can you schedule Exam 2 for Chemistry when we haven't taken Exam 1 yet?! I have 6 exams next week....The light that was once so bright is becoming very dim rather quickly.....

went to Tarrant County and got one more case...the thing that freaked my out the most was that she was still warm...just like you and me. Life really is short....you have to enjoy it, and just be thankful. I have so many things to say and no time to say them...maybe I'll have time tomorrow...until then though, have a good one, and enjoy the day without rain.....what a downpour we had.....

2 Cases in 2 Days....

so it was a little shocking for my first case to be an autopsy....the body had to be in state this morning so it had to be done yesterday. we didn't get started until about 3 because my teacher had a doc appointment. i don't have much time to go into detail but i will tell you this....i got to practice my seamstress skills. i admit i was kind of taken when we first started...the stench was unreal. i got used to it though, and suddenly it just felt natural. i was okay with it. the group i had was really cool, and my teacher is just awesome..you can't help but wonder what kind of life the person lead. this one had a tattoo, several actually, but one kind of spoke to me. it was a heart that said his wife's name y yo(spanish for and me) i kind of felt my heart get weak, and my teacher must have seen something because he warned me to not get emotionally attached. anyway, i have an exam but i'll try to be back..if not, i'll have to give more details later..today's case will be harder...it's an autopsy....but merely a young child of 12.....i hope it goes well...

Mr. Clark brought up a story about how a professor from here a long time ago used to throw chalk at students that were sleeping in his class. It reminded me of 8th grade in Mr. Mitchell's class when he'd throw those long ass erasers at us....people would be walking out with white marks all over their shirts....those were the days....sorta...heh. Ahh the memories....
