  • Pinto Beans and Margaritas in brandy snifters

That's been the sum total of my day.  I am making a pot of pinto beans, and decided I needed---uh--wanted, I didn't need it, I WANTED a margarita.  But, I don't have margarita glasses yet so it's in a brandy snifter---a great big one. The best part is--I get the whole thing to myself.  Yay!

I got my new camera in and have taken lots of pictures of...ME.  But things are slow right now with the weather so I haven't been able to upload too much.  I'll try to get that done soon, but we're expecting more rain tomorrow and some snow is possible on Saturday.  And looking at the radar and judging by the weather man--it'll either do nothing or snow a foot.

Anyway, I'll let you know when and where I get some photos uploaded too.
    Have a great night,

  • Another small update...LOL..I'm getting better at this small stuff but I ain't sweatin' it none. LOL

I've been sick this week so I've done absolutely nothing.  So now I'm another week behind and the guilt is starting to set in.  I know I shouldn't feel guilty when I have no control over being sick--but being sick just makes me--well---sick.  LOL.

If I can get this to load, I will show you a recent pic of me.  I took it a week or two ago, can't remember---maybe Angie can remember because I shared it with her.

This is me with my hair fresh out of a towel..I hadn't even brushed it yet.
Anyway, not much to tell since I've been sick and not felt like getting on the pc much at all---now that's sick.  LOL.

I did order me a new camera before I got sick and it should be here on Monday--so after I get all the little gadgets figured out, I'll take pics and post more.  Well, wait--it may take me awhile to figure it all out so as soon as I learn to just take a pic--I'll try to share some.

I know you don't really think I'll come by and post much, but I do hope to schedule in more "fun time" after the first of the year.  I miss coming by here and goofing off.  But first I have a lot of things to get caught up on by January and being sick put me further behind.  You know how that goes.  I have much to share and I really should start sharing it.

Well until next time, may you have a glorious weekend and week if I don't get back by real soon.

  • Give to me your leather, take from me my lace

"I have my own life and I am stronger than you know.  But I carry this feeling, when you walked into my house, that you won't be walking out the door. Still I carry this feeling, when you walked into my house, that you won't be walking out the door.
Lovers forever, face to face.  My city or mountain, stay with me, stay.  I need you to love me, I need you today.  Give to me your leather, take from me, my lace."

So why is this song stuck in my head?  It's odd I guess.  Our COTM this month is "Antique Lace & Linen", and for some reason I thought of "Leather & Lace" so I've been listening to the song.
I won't get my shipment in until Friday, but the description sounds awesome---A romantic blend of jasmine and fresh vanilla , with a base note of musk.

So I can't wait until Friday.   Every month is sort of like Christmas around here because we get a new scent each month.  It's pretty cool, and then I get to go share it with friends and family.

I didn't just post to talk about my stuff--but in answer to someone's question--- Yes, I am making money.
but this has been fun, a lot of hard work--A LOT of work.  But if I can quit working for other people in a few years and do what ever the heck I want--then it's all worth it.  I honestly don't mind work--what I hate is working for other people who don't appreciate your efforts and don't pay worth a crap.  And lets be real--I just described about 99% of the jobs out there.
Anyway, Angie and I have both been working hard at building our own business.  It's going to take a lot more hard work--but at least we have vision.

The family--well the family is good too.  I'm down to just one kiddo left in the house.  The 19 year old refuses to leave..LOL.  The 22 year old moved back from Arizona and stayed with us until last week.  She's finally got her own place...again.  The baby--well she moved out the day before she turned 18.  We let the oldest decide if she could move out a day early--so needless to say, Erin tortured her with that fact.  LOL.  But she let her move out early.

My tip for the day--on the road to being happy---is to listen to music.  Go get some of that old stuff you used to listen to--all the upbeat stuff that made you feel good when you were younger---and listen to it.  Do not listen to none of that depressing crap.

Then read a good book to get you motivated and off your butt...something about successful people is good.  You are in control of your destiny.  You're also in control of that thing they call depression.  I mean seriously--if you're reading good books and listening to good mood---how the hell can you be depressed?

That's my wisdom for the day.  Unfortunately, most people will read it, pick out one sentence that is totally out there and latch on to it.  That's okay too--I injected subliminal messages..LOL.  Ain't that right Larry?

Well, until next time.  Hope you have an awesome week!

  • SMALL, SMall, small update. LOL

    Hello guys and gals,
See I'm back within a week.

Just wanted to drop in and say hello.  It's almost 1:00 am and I'm ready for bed.  I will get to the questions in the next post.  I had delivery issues today with UPS.  According to them they sent my shipment to Texas, but the UPS man showed up here today anyway with my stuff.  I was just pleased, but I had to email corporate back and tell them not to re-ship the stuff.

Anyway, I got our new product in, it's Bella Balm, hand and foot lotion.  So far I am loving this stuff.  I normally don't like lotions too much on my hands--but this stuff is the bomb.  I'll post links next week if any one wants to try it.

I also got my Avon in today.  My youngest daughter started selling Avon so of course I got too much stuff to help her out money wise.  But it's better than just giving her the cash I guess.  I get stuff, she gets money and gets to learn how to run her own business.

Gonna run for now, hope everyone has a great weekend.

  • Alive, Kicking and Tired

Okay, so it's been two months since I came by and graced you wonderful people with my awesome presence---maybe you still like me a little bit?  I hope so.

I've just been extremely busy, busy, busy. (Right now my pc is wanting to be a pain too).  I haven't forgotten anyone---can't say I've kept up too well, but I haven't forgotten.

As you know I've started that home based candle business and I've just been overwhelmed with that--been having a blast and all, but getting it all organized---or me organized--has just been a whirlwind.  We can do fundraisers and stuff so I've been really busy with that.  Tons of organizations need to raise money and candles are an excellent way to do that.  So it's kept me busy.  I've met a lot of awesome people since starting this and it just gets better and better.

I haven't been writing much or anything like that, but after the first of the year things should slow down to a normal pace and I can get back into visiting with friends on the internet.  I got tons to do and tons to say and share, but time is been cut short lately with all the work I've been doing.

So, gonna run for now and hope everyone is doing great.  Monday is my play day and I've been playing with other stuff--offline.  Reading and outside stuff mostly, but since the weather is getting cold I'll be back online more.  That's the plan anyway.

Take care and talk to you soon!
