Texans For Honorable Leadership

Corruption, lies, envy, deceit, power, manipulation... Sounds like the beginning to a good gangster movie; or you could just be watching c-span! Let's face it, distrust of government-namely those in government-is at the foundation of our political system. It is part of what has made us great. It has kept us safe from many errors. As Americans, we do not seek to install people for life in a system of government which is self perpetuating. We separate the powers and provide checks and balances. As the old adage goes, power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely.

There are many people in politics who, regardless of the integrity of their platform, have the wrong vision of power and influence. Many think that they have the ability to decide for the "commoners" because they know what is best. many use their power to manipulate and coerce other to do their bidding. Some view politics as a lifetime career rather than a time of service to the country.

My brother has started a movement which provides the voters a venue to organize, mobilize, and vocalize their opinions to some of these leaders who begin to adopt the "potentate" complex. His blog is Joshua's Political Blog
and he started Texans For Honorable Leadership. Recently, the Dallas Morning News picked up his story as part of an article on Dan Patrick's bullying ways.

Check out the blog; get involved. Our leaders must be held accountable for their actions. If you are not completely sickened then you are either not paying attention or you are the problem!
