| This is a short post, but I just want to share with any of you concert goers out there.... if you ever get a chance to see Story of the Year in concert, GO! You won't be disappointed... Easily the best live show I've ever seen. And, I've seen some really good ones too. Here are a few pics from the show.

That's all i got for now... later. KPerk
| so.... we've almost made it through january and it hasn't been THAT cold for more than a few days really.. how lucky are we? i just have this feeling that it's still going to be cold in April though.... whateva. and the month hasn't been all that depressing either like i said it would be on my last post.... so we're good to go.
this month has really been pretty uneventful... besides a couple trips/concert/lock-in for work, which was of course a good time... and there is a lot more of this travel stuff to come in the very near future....
i also just found out exactly where the spring break trip i'm leading is going to! Lakeland, FL.... to do some inner city missions work. i'm very grateful for this privilege to lead this trip for spring break. i want to do missions sometime in my life... whether short-term trips... or a couple years overseas... but, i think this will do for now considering i dont have to take any time off work to do it. :) but, please pray for our group, which i still have no clue who is going with us, because there is a lot of preparation and a lot of work that goes into it... and then of course the safety and other issues that we deal with on the trip itself.
but other than that... not a whole lot goin on these days. still workin' on all those new year's resolutions too.... peace out. - kperk
| Okay, so this month is really a bit depressing... it was a year ago this time when I was in Belize, on the best trip of my life... and i want to be back there more than anything right now! why?, you might ask... well, it was the best month of my life, it was the most humbling experience ever, it was a beautiful country, i got credit for the college course (i'm not jealous that i don't have to take anymore classes though), and last but not least.. IT WAS WARM!!! And we got to go to the beach for 4 days! So yeah... I'm a bit depressed with this cold weather!! here's some of last years trip and why i'm so depressed that we're not there right now.....

But, on a happy note. I had a great Christmas break! I was off for a little less than 2 weeks.. went skiing for part of that time in Michigan, and yes i made it back safely and with no broken bones or anything =) Then i spent a lot of time with family and stuff like that. So, it was a great time to relax and put on a few extra pounds.... =( oh well..... you'll have that, right. I got an Ipod for Christmas! I was pretty excited about that too.. of course.
So, on another happy note.. the Buckeyes beat the woopie out of the ND Fightin' Irish. I thought it was pretty funny how A.J. Hawk is dating Brady Quinn's sister... and then Hawk just put the woopie beatin' to him on the defensive line.. and then Quinn's sister was getting mad during the game. =) I love a good bit of drama like that during a good football game. OH, and on that same night.. former OSU running back maurice clarett turms himself into the police for 2 accounts of aggrevated robbery from the weekend.... how fitting???? great timing, just so he can watch the game, then 15 min later he's in jail! haha. what a loser.
But the week was pretty exciting with all the football action that went down.. the Big Ten came through this week with Penn State and OSU winning big... and then the game of a lifetime was played on Wed night with TX and USC. what a night..... you all know what happened there. if not, you must live in a van down by the river.
and it's a new year... what's your resolutions?? mine go like this... in no particular order... 1) get a date (just 1) 2) get in shape (i know, everyone says that) 3) sing the national anthem at a major sporting event (yeah for ambitious!) 4) i can't think of anymore.. good enough though to make it a great year if i succeed with these!!
| hey hey, whats goin.. i know, it's been awhile. sorry. life happened, Xanga had to wait.
but, going back to a couple of posts ago.. 'life' is nothing extremely exciting these days..
same crap, different day.
it's almost Christmas. That's exciting.
I get to go skiing in michigan next week. That's exciting too...
I got to go to a friend's concert last night, that was real cool... it made me want to pursue my ambition that much more...
man, i got nothin today.... sorry.
i need to wake up. | | |
| welp, turkey-day is over....and it's back to the office. those 4 days off in a row really can make you feel spoiled, and next to worthless in the office. i need some motivation.......
but, the break was great.. got to go see some lifelong friends of the family on thursday and had a ton of food, then went outside and had a trap-shooting contest. (shot-guns and clay pigeons, for those of you who don't know what that is). but, it was almost like a blizzard at times, so shooting the targets was quite a challenge...
friday, we went back to Fort Recovery to see some of the HS crew... that was a good time as well.. its always good to catch up with the gang once in awhile.. eventhough it seems like its only once a year since college started. we can just pick up where we left off and not even think about it. but, its cool.
the rest of the weekend was spent relaxing and decorating the house for christmas. i'm already ready to go back home for another week.... is that bad?
but, its back to work now. have a good one errrbody. -KPerk
