What a day that will be.. when my Jesus I shall see.. when I look upon his face... the one who saved me by his grace.. When he takes me by the hand.. and leads me thru the promised land.. What a day.. Glorious day.. that will be.

  • Life Keeps Changing

It seems like things stayed the same in my life for so long and now everything is changing so fast that I just can't keep up!!   My husband and I are divorcing after being together for seventeen years.   I don't know how I feel about this.. some days I think it's for the best, other days I miss him like crazy.    It's hard getting used to being without someone when you've been together for so long.   We still talk a lot though and hopefully we'll get thru this and still be able to be friends.    The kids are taking it pretty well.. the boys especially.. they like going to their dads place.  He's living in town and thats a new experience for them, we've always lived in the country so this is something new for them.   My daughter took the news kind of hard.   She's going thru a lot of things right now.. getting used to a new life herself.  Her boyfriend has two little girls and their expecting their first baby together in December.   She found out she was pregnant at the same time that her dad and I decided to separate.     Like I said.. life is changing fast.   I know that God is in control though and things will work out just as they are supposed to.    It's comforting to be able to look back through my life and see how he's always taken care of me... and to know that he will in the future also.

I'm starting a new job on the first of July...  I got a job at the library, which I think I'm going to love~  I've always loved being at the library surrounded by all those books.  Now I can be there and get paid for it!  What could be better.    The hours will work out well for us with our home schooling also.  I'll be working evenings and weekends so we'll have plenty time to get our school work done during the day.

Well.. that's whats going on at my house...  I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the summer~!

    Love to all...

  • Back Home!!!

I decided yesterday that it was time for me to come back home full time and not work anymore.  Maybe some folks can do it.. home school and work both... but it wasn't working for me.  So.. I've been enjoying my first day back home with the kids....  we went for a nice long walk after having breakfast together and enjoyed this nice weather that we're having....
I look forward to reading all your blogs again... didn't have much time for it before..  But I will now!

  • It's been a long time...

since I've posted anything on Xanga.   I've been using myspace a lot.. but still kind of miss Xanga.  Myspace is ok...  but I like Xanga better for blogging.

So how's everyone been?   We've had a lot of snow here in Ohio this winter... more then normal I think.      I'm ready for spring time to get here.. I'm so tired of being stuck in the house all the time.  I want to get outside and play!!!   I want to go camping and walk by the creek...     I want to sit outside in the evening by a fire.  Being in the house is just no fun!!  Yes.. I'm pouting!    Oh well.. not much I can do about it I  guess.  Just have to be patient and wait.

I'm working a different job now..   I'm doing private care for a man named Willard.  He's 86 years old....   a wonderful guy.  We have fun sitting and talking about the "good old days".

The kids are doing great.  Courtney is working at a hospital now...  Jacob and Jesse are working on their school..   We got new high speed internet!  We're all loving that!  It's so much nicer then dial up!   We got to see our first Youtube videos.. couldn't do that with the old dial up!

I lost an aunt about a week ago... Aunt Sue.. I'll miss her.    She had a beautiful funeral!   So many people there.. I just couldn't believe it!    I had no idea she'd touched so many lives!

well.. time to do some housework!  Saturdays is my day to catch up on everything around the house!

I hope everyone is doing well!

    Take care!

  • Happy Thanksgiving!!

I woke up to a wet...windy.. stormy Thanksgiving morning!    Lots of wind!   There's not hardly a leaf left on a tree anywhere now... the pretty part of autumn is over for another year.   It's so beautiful when the leaves all start turning colors... but it doesn't last for long.
I've been embarking on a new adventure these past couple of weeks and I haven't been able to spend much time on Xanga... I've missed everyone too!      My daughter and I have been taking a CNA class at a rest home in town.  We have two days left and if we pass the test we'll be certified nurses aids.     At the end of the class they offer jobs to some of the students.  I haven't decided yet if I'm going to take a job if one is offered or not.. or if I should wait awhile.    It would be rough keeping up with a full time job and homeschooling the boys... but I think it could be done.    The way the shifts are there I would work four twelve hour days one week and then only two twelve hour days the next week.   So, I'd still have a lot of free time....  we'd just have to change our school schedule around a bit.    My husband could help with school on his time off also...   I don't know.. I'm still thinking about it all... and praying about it.
Another change since I have been here last is Courtney is home with us again.....  it'll be nice to have her here for the holidays...   I'd keep all the kids home with me forever if I could...  I guess that's not how it's supposed to be though.
Well.. I'm going to go and get a shower and get everyone out of bed so we can enjoy this Thanksgiving Day!!  Raining or not.. it's going to be a great day!!

  • Lots of Rain!!!

We're finally getting some rain here in Ohio... and lots of it too!  It's been raining all day today and all night last night.... and it's supposed to keep raining for awhile they say.    I love the sound of the rain...   I've never been one to complain when it rains.

Did I ever mention that I'm a very clumsy person?  Well I am.. and I've had an episode of clumsiness again.  I broke my little toe a couple days ago....  caught it on the kitchen chair on my way thru to the bathroom.   It's feeling better then it did.. but it still HURTS!

On Thursday the boys and I are going on a feild trip with some other home schoolers to a place called Sweet Apple Farm.  They have a cornfeid maze and hay rides and pumpkin painting....  we've been there the past few years and always have a good time.

I took Mom to Wal Mart today to pick out some material to cover her dining room chairs.. then me and Jess covered them for her this evening.  They turned out great!    I should have took some pictures but I forgot to.

I'm hearing a lot about the staph infections that are going around here in Ohio lately.   My daughter called me from college yesterday and said they had a case of the drug resistent staph infection there.   The school had sent out an email to all the students telling them about it.

I was going to go to Bible study tonight but it was so cold and rainy that I decided to just stay inside where it was warm and dry.     My whole family is getting so we hardly ever leave the house.  We're just content to stay at home...  we never get bored.. we always find things to entertain ourselves.

Well.. I need to get off here and get some sleep.  It's getting late...

    Everyone stay safe...

  • I'm Glad It's Monday..

I don't say that very often.. but this week... I'm glad it's Monday.   I had a busy weekend.. fun..but busy, especially yesterday.     The boys woke me up early to go squirrel hunting... dad was working again so it was up to me to take them.  We hunted for about two hours before coming home and getting ready for church...then home again.. did a couple things around the house that needed doing and cooked lunch... then back out into the woods again and hunted until almost 4:00.  By then dh was home and it was time to make him something to eat...   and some other chores around the house.    I didn't get in bed until after midnight and then back up early this morning.    I think I'll make today an easy day and maybe rest a little.   We do have to get Jesse's work samples finished and in the mail to his teacher though.  Can't put that off.

We have a conference call with the teacher tomorrow...  it's called a conference call but it's actually an online session with me and Jess.. just to see how things are going with his schooling and if there's anything we need help with.

We went to the Bob Evans Farm Festival on Friday and had a nice day... the weather was great... the crowd wasn't as bad as last year.    The boys love the Lumber Jack show.   I enjoy seeing them watch it... the smiles and laughs...  I just love seeing them happy and having a good time.    I bought a big jar of honey while I was there from a local bee farmer...   and a gallon of apple cider and a big bag of kettle corn.    Jess loves the kettle corn.   I could make it at home myself but I can't find the regular pop corn anymore.   All I can find in the stores here is the microwave popcorn.  I want the old fashioned kind!   There has to be somewhere I can find some.

Last night we built a fire outside and played the bean bag game for awhile.   This is a game we kind of made up to play with the kids.      Jacob isn't thrilled with it but me and Jess have fun playing it.   And the fire and music was nice...   I like building a fire outside at this time of year and spending the evenings outside.

well.. I'd better go get a shower and get this day started.. it's 7:30.

  • Yesterday I woke up and the first thing I always do when I wake up is look at the clock...  guess what time it was?   4:44     ....  me and this number thing.   Then later in the day I was talking to my daughter and I mentioned to her what time I woke up and she said.. "that's strange.. I woke up at 3:33".  Now how weird is that!
