Haha sorry people I remembered wrongly...I tend to lost track of time when I am not in Penang. I didn't go far as I am lazy. Just visited Hougang Mall. After shopping, it time to yum cha : ) Yeah some habit I cultivated in Penang with my friends.
I saw this corner, "Mei Heong Yuen"...The first thing I saw was steam milk custard and steam egg custard!!! They also have Mango pudding, Mango with Pomelo and sago, egg custard, black sesame paste, and loads of other paste. I saw other people eathing..Hm...Have a feeling they are a bit too thick.
SGD 3 per bowl for Milk Custard...Haiyah don't care...just order. They are sooooo goood!!! Silky soft and smooth as baby's ass...opz...Wish Penang sells this but I think they will be having a hard time selling that custard for more than RM6 perbowl : P I never had milk custard before.

Aunty haven't called me to confirm if we gonna having dinner together, so I ventured out of the mall to see if there was anything else to eat. Shihlin Taiwan Street Snack booth had caught my attention on my previous visits but never got to try it. Can you imagine I was standing in front 2 booths, Old Chang Kee and Shihlin, going back and forth because I couldn't decide which to eat! Well, I need to keep space for dinner rite?
It's pretty good. 3 words...Crispy, tender and juicy....serious...Tastewise..hmm maybe I prefer it to slightly saltier. No wonder people asked them to add more of the greyish powder and not the red one. Kinda spicy.
I cought some videos on the preparation. The fillet is soooooo damn huge. It's even bigger than my both palms put together!! If not mistaken its SGD3 sumthing...hahaha chicken chop also not that big. Serious!
Wahahaha...Yupz people today I am having Japanese meal again.
This time is ramen for dinner and Hokkaido Fair in town. What is Hokkaido Fair? Hohohoho...It's a seasonal event where everyone in Singapore has a chance to savour Hokkaido seafood and desserts!!! hehe...Hokkaido is famous for their milk and seafood, agree?

After trying the crab, I shall try another famous seafood from there too : ) So I choose you! Ajisen Ramen as my dinner place! Lolz...paiseh I'd been watching too many Iron Chef on You Tube. Hm I dunno if the fair is still on but at that time Hokkaido Scallop Ramen was available so I ordered a set and picked scallop ramen by adding another SGD1 Total damage SGD14.80 Hahahahaha! Worth la wei!!! You will know why... Never question my passion towards scallop. They taste fantastic in raw, fried, stirfried and now in soup!
There were 8 of it in one bowl! O.o Okay they are not super huge and only the size of a 20 sen coin but I tell you they soooooo sweeet! *my heart melts* No fishy seafood smell. All I could taste was fresh and sweet. lolz...Ohhh and their milky soup....*swoon* So bahagia....As you can see there is taugeh in the soup. I like it. Sorta making the ramen has depth in taste and texture when you eat it.
I think if I wait another lifetime also couldn't get such noodles with such scallops at such price in Penang. No way. Haiyah Sakae Singapore and Sakae Penang already has a difference, what more Ajisen Ramen. Yeah Ajisen Ramen has reached Penang's shore but I don't think I would visit it anytime soon. They don't have Hokkaido Scallop Ramen XD
As a set it comes with a plate of side dish either maki, tako or tempura. So chosed tako, my favourite. I think I had almost 30 ekor tako ady =.= throughout the Singapore trip. My plate has 10 tako!!!! O.o and each of them are of standard size. Not those tiny tako you find in Sushi Kings.
No worries eating in Singapore : ) Thumbs up for their quality.
Happy drooling~
