Sean Fox announced the conclusion of the game as taking nine days etc.  Playing time was three days.  Actual game time was 2 hours, 20 minutes.

I'm sure there's some sort of record involved in that.

The league gave us three blind mice for the past couple of games.  They really were blind and I sang "Ode to Blue" much to the amusement of my New York friends.

This game started on time (7:05) and the Miracle took the lead for a while and were hanging on.

"Magic" Manny Tejada threw two strikes before allowing three runs.  Pat Neshek came in to get the final out.

Once again the Miracle out hit their opponent, but could not hit in clutch situations.  The team has now lost six straight.

With the conclusion of tonight's game, there are ten home games left in the season.  We see Tampa and Dunedin two more times, Sarasota once and finish up with five games against the Lakeland Tigers.

Neshek wanted to know why I wasn't over getting Mike Schmidt's autograph.  I dunno, I guess I'd just rather get the prospects.  Besides, he evidently doesn't sign enough to keep the people happy as I heard some boo-birds on that side of the stadium.

Since I have most of the Miracle players, I was thinking I would have to wonder over to that side of the stadium though when Sara is in town in an attempt to get Hanley Ramirez to sign.  Unfortunately, Ramirez has been called up to Portland.

(And then I've got five games to try to get the Lakelake kids to sign.)

The team heads out on the road for a game against Tampa tonight and then three against Clearwater on Monday and Tuesday.

Hopefully they will get home field advatange on the make up game they are playing there, because Dougie Deeds was really concerned about that.

The Miracle then face the Red Sox on Wednesday before returning home on Thursday.

The Miracle fan feature story ran yesterday in the Gulf Coasting section of the News-Press.  I will scan it in later today and put it online for those of you that are interested. Great shot of Kenny making a not quite rude guesture on the cover.  LOL!

Public Address announcer Sean Fox leaves us to return to college.  They said goodbye to several fo the interns as well, but most will be hanging on for another week yet.

I did get "Crocky" to sign my Crocky card before he takes off.

The Miracle mascot chose to take yet another night off.  But then, she's the one person I really don't mind not seeing at the games.
