Roberto Luongo was named to the Team Canada Olympic Roster tonight, joining Martin Brodeur and Marty Turco in the nets for our neighbors to the north.

Also on the roster is former Panther Ed Jovanovski.  Jovanski, who is currently with Vancouver joins Rob Blake, Adame Foot, Scott Niedermayer, Chris Pronger, Wade Redden, and Robyn Regehr on the blue line in Italy this February.

Tampa Bay contributes three forwards to Team Canada as Vincent Lecavalier, Brad Richards and Martin St. Louis were all selected to represent their country.

Team Germany, who finished in 8th place in the 2002 contest will rely on Oleg Kolzig in net and brings a blend of youth and experience to the ice.  Of interest to the Panthers fans is head coach Uwe Krupp, the man who ended the Cats Stanley Cup dreams in March of 1996.

Toronto defenseman Bryan McCabe, Ottawa's Jason Spezza and Carolina's Eric Staal were all named as alternates for the Canadian team.
