  • Yippy for glorious Summer! I have many , many plans that I am anxious to fufill. Oddly, I do not feel like a Senior at all. When I was young I remember thinking that I would never reach the age of driving a car, going to high school, or being one of those people who hung out and had those really tight friendships with people your own age. Now, all thos ethings are under appriciated, "No Big deal", but I'm kind of thing about those things from a past perspective and it really does hit me. I have to go to college next year, I am going to be a burdened college debt person, I am going to have to become an independent youngest child!!! But I am very calm about this matter (as you can plainly read), I need to fufill my ablogations and duties art present, that's the only way to take charge of future challenges. So now I go to Mexico, where everyday  is filled with bumpy rides of excitement and fiesta fun!

Here are some pictures that might bring you up to date with "what's going on with me".

My Beautiful Elizabeth (2007 choir festival) Jordan and Noel (2007 choir festival) Eggars and Katelyn (the cutest and only "real" couple at TSCS) I love them very dearly.

Lizzo, Aaron , and Jordan are here, looking swell the official day at the choir festival in Chicago.

Here is a group shot of a few happy souls.

This was everybody in choir who went on the trip.

Baby Karis and her Aunt Bethany on Easter morning.

Me, Torrie, Noel and Jordan smilling at our first successful Banquet '07 (this event was held tat the historic Ryan's house down town Dubuque. toped off with a live band and everything. We, junior girls, decided to go "cocktail classy"  for our formal wear. It fit our chosen  theme quite stylishly.)
    Jor
Here's Jordan and I leading a game of Trivia of the Year with the Sophomores and Seniors. ( this was probobly my most fondest moment, the whole thing was done with such cleverness and humor, I loved it!)
    The
The Jazz Band! not to sound cocky, but this was all seriously my thing, and was a hit. In the beginning when us girls began planning for this yearly event I told them that all I wanted to is find the location and hire a band and I did. I think we all let each girl do what she wanted as long as it sounded good, and it all perfectly. (except for some behind the scenes mishaps, if you know what I mean.)

And here are the Junior Girls at the Senior dinner last week (5-22-07)

  • Things learned or inspired to do from going to ACSI festival:
-Bethany is most definatly going to sing in a really good choir when she goes to college.
-Bethany wants to contiue taking from well instrucsted voice teachers in college.
    - Bethany is most certainly going to visit and apply to more schools than just Platteville and Uof L.
-Bethany has to try and  get a voice scholarship for college.
-Johannes Brahms is freakishly hard and should only be sung by well, accomplished dark voices.
-Everything by John Rutter is beautiful.
    - And that Bethany is pretty sure male conductors are better than female ones. ( if you need reasons one this oneshe can tell you)
-Music is a lovely thing and adolensents don't respect it like they should. ( some of them anyway)

    Off the subject:
I got accepted to be in the National Honors Society. That's very nice. :)

I'm almost pretty sure I'm bored of snow days. We haven't gone by three weeks without at least one, and this week I had two of them in a row (thursday & today).  I didn't even go to school wednesday, so really I've like had a snow holiday. It has been wonderfully lovely though, getting woken up at 6 and getting told they canceled school, and then feeling like you might burst with happiness because you don't have to take that test that you didn't study for the night before and you get to sleep in until whenever you want! (my all time favorite part). Then as the day continues you suddenly feel somewhat depressed, you then go to the kitchen and steam up some ho chocolate  and trudge back up in you slippers to your room and watch some extremely  long movie, mine was Lawrence of Arabia. Yes, indeed it has been dreary and distent, watching the the world get flurried about by snow and wind drifts through your ice tinted window.  I have, however, throroughly enjoyed being away from society for three whole days, what a relaxing refreshment.

Here are some random pictures that I felt the need of posting......

Seattle, the place where I most want to live, my dream city..... I love the rain too.

Do you want to something amazingly neat! I only have 12 more days of actual school until Spring break! Yes, I know, wickedly enchanting, but I'm definatly going to have use some sweat breaking imagination to pretend that it is actually spring outside since there are snow drifts that go up over my knee caps. Alas.....

Who watched the oscars? I sort of did, Off my computer anyways. To be honest I really didn't that many of the nominated movies. I watched "Little Miss Sunshine", which I found intriguingly humorous ( if you overlook the annoyence of overdrawn crap language). I would like to see "The Queen".... I think. I probably won't watch "Babel", even though Kate Blanchett is like my favorite. And I'll probably watch the "Departed" this weekend or something. As for "Dreamgirls", I'm almost positive I won't watch it, just because I don't have the beauty of time to spend.               SO really I can;t express my thoughts on the acadamy because I do not posesess the adaquate knowledge on the matter, except for the matter of Al Gore.... since when has he been in the business?....... winning something speacial like that.... Gross!

Yes, I know it's been forever since I have blogged, but I'm still alive in this frozen, enchanted land of Iowa. I'm sick of winter, but the ocassional snow day is always appriciated. Well I must go, but the want of change for this blog page is much needed and will bug me forever until I change it. I 'll be back my loves!!!

About Me

  • Sometimes I dream of meeting famous people. I like the really good music, and I think xanga is pretty cool, along with old buildings and red bicycles.
