| Hello. It's been a few months since I last posted, but I dont really have anything to say. Not that anyone probably reads this anyway. I have a myspace account too now... I havent come up with a clever name yet, so my url is a bunch of numbers. But you can find me just by doing a search for my name. Yep, check out that site... pretty boring! | | |
| Just completed my first week of work (since the office is closed on Friday for Veteran's Day). Kinda works out neat that whenever I'm out somewhere and see a parent not paying attention to, or being mean to their kid, I wanna take the kids away and make the parents be better... and now, that's what I get to do for a living. Well, I can't actually remove the kid myself, but I can authorize it and tell the parents what they need to do before they can see the kid again. I got to go to two court hearings today. I had to say stuff too... just my name and why I was there, but it's still scary having to answer to a judge! Once I get past the whole, 8-5, 40 hours a week thing, I think I'm really going to like my job. Too bad that the two fellow employees I like best are leaving. But my supervisor is really cool. That's all for now! | | |
| Ok, well it's been over a year since I wrote a blog... hmm... in the past few months, I graduated college, turned 21, got married, and moved across the country. My wedding was amazing - thanks to everyone who was a part of it! Sorry to every other girl in the world who wanted to marry a great guy someday, I took the best one! Well, I think I am still getting settled in here in Phoenix... everything's finally unpacked and our house actually looks like a place for people to live, not a storage unit anymore. I am still looking for a job... but I'm pretty sure I will get the job with CPS - they only have one reference left to check, and other than that, I passed all parts of their interview process already. Um... my puppy is licking my foot... and there's a lizard outside my window. Still getting used to the completely different atmosphere here. I mean, the mountains all around and lizards and scorpians, and perfect weather (except a couple months when it's real hot) blue skies all the time, hardly ever a cloud in the sky, rains only a few times a year... it's just so beautiful. And definately better than the dreary, rain and snow every other day, horrible humidity, flat ground everywhere you look, cold of ohio. Except I miss my friends in ohio... well, some are in PA now... but i miss always being a 15 min drive away from them all... not that there were THAT many of them... but the friends that I do have are always great, and always there for me. And I miss not being able to stay up late playing board games with jen, or showing up randomly at her house to play them. And i miss not being able to hang out with ann as much - though, once she started driving, it became cooler to go places with your friends than with your sister... but hey, we still tell eachother everything, even if we have to do it from across the country. Hmm... lets see... hopefully we can come home for christmas... all depends on my job situation at the time. And hopefully we can gather a few friends up and drag them out here to spend new years with us. well, i think that's about all for now... My phone number's still the same, as well as my AIM... it gets lonely out here sometimes, so it's always good to hear a friendly voice! Now i'm off to walk to walmart market (cuz it's the only thing within walking distance, and i think we need some milk) and maybe i can find a few cheap things to enhance our decorating set up for the trick-or-treaters! bfn! | | |
| I dunno why i even write anything on here anymore, because i'm pretty sure no one reads it. but oh well. it's still fun, in a lame, i have no life sort of way. anywho. engaged life is fun. almost like before, except now i can actually tell people we're getting married, cuz i have the ring to prove it! and it is by far, the most perfect ring ever created and i get to be the one to wear it. we are going to have so much fun getting to plan it all, i cant wait! good thing i dont have to... we are going to need every second of this next year to plan and organize and sort out all the details. aside from the fact that i have no idea what to do (seeing as i've never done this before). hence why i bought my handy-dandy wedding planner organizer book. it was kinda expensive ($30 for a book!) but nothing compared to what it would cost to actually hire a wedding planner. well that's all for now. to anyone who actually is reading this, give me a call sometime! no one calls me anymore | | |
| i learned something new this week... i'm stupid. i do poorly on tests even when i know all the material and everything... and, the papers i write are so horrible that my profs wont even read it. i have to revise it by thursday, (or rewrite it), but i'll have to do that tomorrow cuz i cant even look at it right now... oh yeah, and i revised my research paper AGAIN because, yet again, my prof said i wasnt going about it right... oh yeah, and i probably failed my test today. i totally blanked out on the essay portion of the test... fortunately, that part's only worth 10% of the whole test... well, now i'm off to do some fun data analysis homework... plug and chug seems to be the only thing i'm good at these days... | | |
