more wise words by kahlil gibran, my absolute favorite author/poet:

Satan said to the priest “Do you not realize that you will starve to death if I were to die? What would you then do tomorrow? What vocation would you pursue if my name disappeared? For decades you have been roaming these villages and warning the people against falling into my hands. They have bought your advice with their poor denars and with the products of their land. What would they buy from you tomorrow, if they discovered that their wicked enemy no longer existed? Your occupation would die with me, for the people would be safe from sin. As a clergyman, do you not realize that Satan’s existence alone has created his enemy, the church?”

i thought i'd throw in some pics try to get this photobucket thing started.
because let's face it i rarely READ anyone's xanga. i just look at the pictures.
this is way back from july blessing time with debbie grodner who officiated. i've
known her forever from camp sunrise. i was so glad it Bruce and her doing our
blessing.

this is of course my sister jordanne and myself.

this is high and shinang at the blessing. (sonja's shwweet angel)

these are some pics from a trip to block island with andrea and ami (high's
sisters) and rummel (ami's spouse) and his brother charles. this is us on the
ferry over the island, which is literally like a paradise. we raced our scooters all
over the island

high and i on the cliff side of the island. isn't it gorgeous?

so how's everybody? its been a whiles since i updated... as usual. i should be doing homework, but im running out of procrastination activities, which brings me to my xanga. i actually decided to step down from my position as assistant director and on nov 21st start as an infant teacher for the same company, different location. im getting paid almost the same with 1/8 the responsibility. the whole management and overwork finally got to me now that im back as a full-time grad student. i'll be finishing up my masters in elem ed in may, God willing. high n i will be flying home on dec 2nd for my pop's 60th birthday. wowee, that makes me feel old. my dad is madly in love with high so i know we'll have a good ole time. josh just got married in october to the sweetest girl, mandy and now they have their own place. wongin's still full-time doing his undergrad and might be changing his major from pre-med. he's not sure yet. wow what a family update. must be because i have no life full-time work plus full-time school. just me and high playing cards... o wait a minute that is a bit o news. we went up to the city friday to play at wonchil's and it was a $30 buy-in. high won the tournament and took home $275. i decided to take my $30 and hit the sushi spot directly below wonchil's apt near the lincoln tunnel.yummers. sunday, we'll be heading to queens to meet up with ami and rummel for dinner at the best korean restaurant in koreatown. i need kimchee! another funny coincidence is that all my friends that i hung out with in korea are now back there and in pusan. the one place i said i would live if i ever went back. its o so tempting.

BIG NEWS! high n i took the plunge on July 31st and we are now offically blessed. my whole family came up for the event as well as NamGin's spouse's family. WonGin's babe was singing with Colors of  Love in Korea... yep, she's the one with the solos, Il Hwa. Sonja's man's family was organizing the whole shindig in Koreas so they didn't make it either. but, it was so good to see me ma n pa. we had a lil reception the next day at the Spurgins' house in Bridgeport. old school sightings at the event: aileen and daniel hess. daniel was getting blessed. yung n kotun. miyo fuji getting blessed. sunil n kiyomi (our ole roomies) were also getting blessed. double trouble. o yeah. and on to more recent news:

went to Camp Sunrise today. yep, ole, ole memories. saw Debbie (Grodner) who's been there prolly 20 years. there was supposed to be a reunion but it was more of a reunion of our same ole crew from Connecticut: Mary Hose Spurgin, Sarah/Lomi/Sunil Schauffler, Kiyomi/Keiha Kobayashi, Ami and Rummel, her other half. Keiha's due for twins btw. flew down to DC to see Highmy Herbers last weekend, she's in her seventh month. EVERYONE's having babies... doncha worry tho guys... it'll be a while for me. i'm thinkn 30 n I'll start poppin em out. ya know i just realized that i've been capitalizing stuff. its been a long, long time since i've been on a computer... obviously. high n i havent had cable or internet for over a month now between apartments. O but that is news. we have a new apt in stamford that is actually on a small peninsula that juts out onto long island sound i believe. we're walking distance from the water now. as soon as high n i get unpacked we'll be throwing a lil party. yep we're paying over $1000/mo for a one bedroom studio... thus is the real estate in stamford.

Well I got a good swim in before the townies demanded air conditioning and we headed back to our Connecticut.
