The following is a story of my entire day. The end is the main focus.

After writing all of this I figured out that it is really really long. Please don't read this if you don't have time.

The date is January 23, 2008 and it is 11:18P.M.

I didn't get a whole lot of sleep last night.  I was up late working on something for a friend.  At 8:00A.M. my alarm goes off.  I'm tired so I hit the snooze.  Eight minutes later it goes off again, and I decide to face the day. I start off by doing my morning devotions and finishing an excellent book by Joshua Harris called "Boy Meets Girl."  For breakfast I have "Lucky Charms," it was one of my "special" bowls.  For those of you who have seen me eat breakfast you know what I mean *cough Kerry cough*.  Anyway, back on track, I got ready for school and decided to head off.
At school I had to sit through an hour of Joel, well, just being Joel (Joel, if you read this please don't kill me... : D please?). After I get home from school I try to figure out how to do something for my friend (stated above).  Some other random stuff happened that I will not even begin to bore you with.
Let's see... how about we skip ahead a couple of hours here.... Ok. I'm at church trying to read my next book when my annoying teacher decides to come in and start yelling at me (and it was not my fault that Nathan and Joel weren't there to set up the room!!).  Aaaaaand time skip again...
It is now after class and some people are standing around talking.  And let me tell you some parts of the conversation were "crazy" *cough wink nudge wink cough wink wink*.  After people started to die off (I don't mean literally die of course) I was left standing there with a good friend of mine (the name of whom will not be released).  After talking about some stuff..... Oh yes! There was also some unicorn drawing going on (on my part I must admit) I told him uhhhh... I mean my friend.. yeah that's right.. my friend... to go home and finish writing a paper that was due tomorrow or today if you want to get all technical and stuff.
Now now for the main attraction. The highlight of my day (well, somewhat).  I'm going to try to paint you a picture. But don't worry if your brain is just too small to understand what's going on and where just ask me and I'll tell you to leave me alone. Wait a second. That's not good for you..... Oh well.. Just so you know this is completely real and I did not make any of it up. This is serious and people could have gotten hurt. Or worse, killed.
Leaving the parking lot from the south side I turned left, made a right at the stop sign, made a right at the next stop sign, took the first left, turned right at the next stop sign, drove to the end of the next stop sign and turned left onto SW 6TH TER. As I started coming up on Chiquita I noticed a car pulled up on the side of the road in the grass (if heading north bound on Chiquita the car would be in the turn lane for SW 6TH TER.).  After turning left onto Chiquita I noticed the driver's door was open.
Now driving slowly south bound on Chiquita I turn my head to the left as I tried to look for the driver.  But then I realized that the driver was sitting in the driver's seat, but was leaning out of the car with her head to the ground. At first I thought she may have been looking for something, but because she wasn't moving I realized this was not the case. I then thought she may have been in an accident and had tried to get out of the car.
So being concerned I get into the left hand turn lane (as if to turn left onto Pine Island Road, heading west bound). I didn't get an arrow but I decided to do a u turn anyway. Now facing north bound on Chiquita I pull up next to her car. Her door was still open and she was starting to sit up. I asked her if she was ok, but I didn't get any response. She was conscious but only a little.
Now fearing my own safety (who knows if she had a boyfriend hiding on the other side of the car ready to mug or kill me) I pull up into the turn lane in front of her and got off my bike (taking my helmet and gloves off also). I started trying to flag down people (I was standing literally in the middle of the road and people just kept passing me) that would be able to help me while also calling my dad. I suspected that she may have been drunk or high, but I had no idea if I should call 911 or the sheriff's office.
Finally I got a lady to stop and help me out. When she got out of the car I let her know what was going on. She called the police and I stayed on the phone with my dad.  As I found out, she was drunk. My dad told me to grab the keys out of the ignition so she couldn't drive away. I asked her if I could have the key but she said no. So I thought about just grabbing for it, but seeing as how she was in the drives seat I was hesitant (I didn't know if she had a weapon or what). So I just stood in her door and made sure she didn't try anything funny.
Well, the lady who stopped to help me (still being on the phone with the cops) was asking her some questions. As she was doing that I decided to reach my left hand over the steering wheel and grab the key, at which point she decided that it was a good time to leave. She started to shift the car into drive so I climbed half way into the car and started grabbing for the keys.
Well, let's just say she didn't want me to have the keys and was willing to fight me for them. After about 30 seconds of yanking on the stupid keys (which turned out to be in the lock position (one click left from off)) I finally managed to get it out and jump out of the car. The really funny part was that she was cussing me out asking for the keys and grabbing me and stuff (thankfully she was really drunk and had no strength) I kept telling her to calm down. And she kept telling me that she was calm. Then the lady would come over and relax her and she was just like "you guys are awesome."  She would go from completely crazy to really calm *snap* like that.
Ah yes. She also kept telling us that she would be fine driving home because she did it all the time after 9 shots of liquid acid. Now that's a really good persuasion technique, "let's just tell the little boy really bad stuff then he'll give me the keys."
Well after a while the cops and my dad showed up and pretty much took over (the cops.. not my dad). I gave them the key and told them what had happened. The thing that stinks is that she can't be charged with DUI because when the cops got there 1) she wasn't in the driver's seat and 2) the car wasn't on. After all this had happened I went home and wrote about it. And here I am an hour after I started. There may have been some stuff that could have been left out, but this is what I remember right now. I am just so thankful for God giving me guidance in what to do and keeping me safe. You never really know how you'll react in situations where you're put on the spot until it's happening. Only by God's grace was I able to do what I did.

It is now 1:28A.M. 1/24/08 and I'm tired so goodnight!
If you have any questions let me know.
