ive been watching the news lately and all they talk about is how high gas prices are. talking wont do shit to bring it down, thats why we must act! dont buy any gas for your car, ride city transport or a bicycle instead cause if no one is buying any gas they will have to bring the prices down and once its below 2 bucks again it will be ok to buy gas cause thats one less dollar a gallon and one less dollar they have and the more people we can get the less money the gas companies will make. but the gas wont last forever, it will runout soon.

I DIDNT WRITE THIS BUT ITS WHAT I WOULDVE SAID

About this whole protesting/immigration thing.

Half you kids protesting aren't even protesting for the beginning reason. You're just doing it because everyone else is and you want to be part of it because you feel you have to defend yourself as a hispanic!

THE ISSUE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BEING HISPANIC!

The U.S. has NOTHING against immigrants.... We're against the word ILLEGAL thats in front of the word, not that your mexican!

ILLEGAL
il·le·gal
adj.
Prohibited by law.
Prohibited by official rules: an illegal pass in football.
Unacceptable to or not performable by a computer: an illegal operation.

ex.
An illegal immigrant.

If you break the law, you pay the price. If you are an illegal immigrant than you are brekaing the law, therefore, you pay the price! It's already been passed in the House of Representatives and is on it's way in the Senate! It's more than halfway to becoming a felony. So therefore ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS ARE CRIMINALS!

It's that simple!

I have to go to school to get my education to be able to go to college in order to get the job I want and the benefits that are best for me EVEN AS A CITIZEN OF THIS COUNTRY. And you think I'm just going to hand it over to you? To someone who is breaking the laws of the country that they are illegally residing in? I don't think so.

Even as citizens we have to earn our rights and you think we should just give them to you because your here?

Half of the kids protesting WERE born in the U.S. meaning they are citizens here. However, I understand that their parents might not be, but if they're so worried about their parents then their parents need to be standing up for themselves. All you're doing by protesting is drawing attention to yourselves, making it obvious that you are illegal immigrants, breaking the law! That's like saying, "Come arrest me now, please!"

Here are quotes from the DALLAS MORNING NEWS:

ESPERANZA GAONA said she protested for her grandfather and her parents who are all illegal immigrants. "My parents are proud." Proud of what? That they got here without being caught? Well you just pointed them out as lawbreakers.

Eduardo Martinez said "Immigrants founded the U.S." True, immigration was the basis of the United States, English settlers created the United States, but we now have rules and regulations (that are really not all that unreasonable) on immigration, so if you want to be an American, speak our language, follow our customs, and obey our rules.

"Immigrants are here to work, not do bad stuff," Gus Jiminez said " I knew my song would probably get me in trouble at school for this" Yes immigrants are doing work, work that they are taking away from the American people, work that is hurting the United States economy but helping Mexico's! Don't complain about us wanting to kick you out of America if you just want America to fail anyway.

How about we put a little bit more logic into it next time. Try protesting BEFORE a bill is passed in one house and is halfway done with becoming a law, because it does you no good to fight for something that is 75% illegal. And it certainly does you no good if you're illegal, because why would the hard working American citizens want to compensate for those who aren't paying taxes to the country they're residing.

If you don't know what the situation is, don't protest. I bet 95% of the protestors think it has something to do with being a hispanic.

People are waving Mexican flags and chanting "Viva Mexico!" and such. If you're fighting to STAY in America, then shouldn't you be waving AMERICAN FLAGS, and saying "U.S.A" proving that you're wanting to be an AMERICAN!?

We aren't going to let you "cut in line" in the immigration progress. It just doesn't work that way. There are people out there doing it the right way, and they'll suffer because you broke the law? I don't think so.

This issue doesn't just relate to hispanics though. The law goes into effect for ALL immigrants from ALL countries.

So be an American if you want to live in America. That's all there is to say.

i see too many people turning thier backs on this country. it sickens me that they demand freedom but dont want to do anything to ensure this freedom for future generations. yes there is a war in iraq and americans are dieng but they are not dieng in vain. they are ensuring freedom for other people in anouther country unlike those who protest the war and say it is a bad thing. so tell me, what is so bad about bringing freedom to someone else?  everytime they say "no war" or anything along those lines it makes those soliders sacrifices seem less and less important. and without sacrifice you cant make progress.
