It was a violent place when I grew up there too - and that was a loooooooong time ago!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Lord, for getting me away from there! It is a bad place to be, to live, to grow up - but most of all it would be a bad place to be stuck in for your entire life.
I grew up learning to watch my back and trust no one. The streets weren't safe. My home wasn't safe.
And I'm so glad not to be there.
