I have never procrastinated this badly in my whole life. It is 2:00 am and I'm sitting in the lobby while Theresa and Molly are studying and I am definitely not. If they knew I was updating my xanga right now instead of doing my psychology homework...they would kill me. Hahaha I'm shhoo schneaky.

Well, life's been good here in good ol Angelo. I just got a job at Sonic. My first night was tonight. It's...umm..a job. I don't necessarily enjoy being there but I walk away with more money than when I started.lol I just signed up for an intramural volleyball team with the BSM. I hope my work schedule doesn't interfere with the games though.

My grades are pretty well. I made a 116 on my history exam and the highest grade was a 120. I studied pretty long for that one. I made a 76 on my music exam though..but hey whatever. I'll live. I'm doing pretty well in my other classes..I'm pretty sure I'm pulling A's and B's. I really like college. I've discovered despite my amazing procrastination habit I really enjoy learning. It's invigorating to increase your knowledge...to become a more learned individual.

I am in love with life here at ASU. I LOVE being single and free. I LOVE riding my bike to work. I LOVE talking to my friends. I LOVE reading my textbooks. I feel like I"m seeing life through rose-colored glasses. Every day I wake up grateful for the chance to have new experiences and live another day. Life is a gift from God and it should never be taken for granted. I just plain love life. It is flippin awesome. I don't know why I feel so free here, maybe it's because I am. Just everything is great. Even getting up early. It's wonderful. God is so amazing and he has stolen my heart.

Homecoming was this past weekend and we won! Big suprise..we're 7-1! Molly, Wendy, Melissa and I were "boa beauties" for the game. Hence the picture. We're some dorky awesome girls. The bonfire and step contest was fun on Friday night..the bonfire was flippin hott..I didn't expect it to be that hott haha. I got to talk to some pretty awesome people and afterwards we went to IHOP and after that we went to Melissa's room to watch, what else, a disney movie. Brian wanted to watch Kill Bill and he left when we unanimously decided on Little Mermaid. haha. I definitely did not get up till 2 pm on Saturday. It was excellent, one of the best sleeps I've had in a long time. Saturday all I did was get up, eat, do laundry and go to the Homecoming stuff. I'd only been up like a couple hours before it was time to get ready for the Homecoming game haha. All of us were like where did they day go? After the game we all headed to the BSM for 5th quarter where Katie finally got me an application to the camp she's been talking about ofr a while now. I want to work at some type of summer camp either this summer or next summer. Like a Christian summer camp and Katie worked at Kannakuk camps in like...some other state..and got me an application. She flippin rocks.

After that Melissa and I went to play cops and robbers with some people from the BSM. I'm suprised we got to play considering it was like midnight when we decided to play with them adn they said they were leaving for the park at 11:45. But we made it. So basically I had no clue what I was getting myself into. We were dropped off at Santa Rita park, im still in jeans from the game, where we were left to fend for ourselves basically and find our way back to Texan. Melissa and I, the geniuses we are, think we're in like first place and hop the fence to the cememtary and run through it and run through all these neighborhood back streets and go in through the back of Texan only to find out we're like the LAST group to get there. We thought we were FIRST! So wrong...so wrong. But we were just ride-along cops for the next game. It was good..we finished at like 2:30 then we wanted to do something else so we called Molly and went to her room, which is right next to mine conveniently, and watched runaway bride with her and her roomates. Yeah, none of us were asleep before 5 so needless to say we all irresponsibly skipped church the next day. I still fell guilty about that.

But yeah, Sunday the day went by absurdly quickly again. That's what happens when you don't get up before 2. Sharronda, my roomate, and I went to Wal-Mart and then to Chili's to serve our usual Sunday night out to eat ritual. We have some good talks on these Sunday night outings. We saw all the BSM people there as we were leaving, and Savanana shared the disheartening news that the India.Arie concert we bougth tickets for on the 4th of Nov or something like that has been moved to like the middle of december when we definitely will not be living in the dorms!! So yeah, we have to refund that..and we're just gonna have to settle on the Jeremy Camp/Bethany Dillon concert in Abilene to hold us over. It's a good substitute.

Then Sunday night RIGHT when I start to do homework Wendy, Jessica, Cody, Melissa and Josh all show up outside my door to kidnap me and Molly. I was like in my freaking PJ's. Quite embarassing.. So we all head one door over to Molly's to talk for a little while then Molly decided she HAD to do hw so we just all headed to Sonic. It closed the minute after we ordered...nice timing. So we just headed back up to the dorms..where Sharronda and I proceeded to watch "The Muppet Christmas Carrol:" in anticipation of Christmas and eat cookie dough all night long. It was one of the most awesome nights ever. And I wonder why I love my life. And no no I haven't gained the freshmen 15...not at all...

Everything I've just written here is energy that should have gone into my psychology paper. I need to finish my dang psychology homework!! ugh!

YAY! I love college.

I still feel homesick every now and then. But overall it's getting easier and I'm having more and more fun everyday. I'm getting pretty involved in the BSM and working out everyday. I can't wait for intramural volleyball and ping-pong. I am THRILLED. And not this wekeend but next weekend I'm going on a retreat with the CCC to Leakey, TX. I'm totally excited. I ran into Tell, the guy who invited me to go in the first place, and he showed me all the pictures from last year..and I'm really really excited. The water looks gorgeous. The homework is definitely piling up though. I'm getting a good lesson in time management. Well hope everyone's doing good and I love yall!!

Things have been a whirlwind since I've gotten here to ASU. It's crazy.

I'm just so glad that I have a whole day where I have nothing to do...thank God for Saturdays. I was really nervous about staying here over the weekend because almost ALL the friends I have here so far were going home..so I was like crap. I'm gonna be lonely all weekend. But Jessica and I decided to go to a movie on Friday night and Ashley was driving past my dorm and was like hey do you wanna go see Red-Eye at 7:50? I was like sure we'll go. And we ended up going to Starbuck's afterwards and meeting these other two great Christian girls and one guy who goes to Texas Tech who was home for the weekend.

After Starbucks we decided to go to play some sand volleyball at the pit since we all didn't have anything to do...so we ended up meeting some people out there and playing until like 2 am lol. Jessica and I met this guy named Cookie who's real name is like Sumayani Palapati or something crazy like that! He's the most awesome Christian guy ever! He's from Laos...it's the weirdest story ever. But him and Jessica, even though they went to bed at 4am got up to go jogging around campus and then called me to go to breakfast around 10 or so. So he took us to a little Mexican restaurant that really did have good breakfast and he paid for us!! I was like oh my gosh..you're the nicest guy ever. We're all going to Baker Street later tonight around 8 or so..hopefully it'll be a good time..he's a nice guy. And we're gonna try to call some people and what not.

I'm not going to lie though...I'm very homesick. I've only been a here a week and I think of my family and my puppy and my cats every day. I'm like goh I want to go home..that's why it was so hard to stay here during the weekend. I'm really really looking forward to the next time I see them...which will be for parent's weekend in mid-September I think. Well I gotta go do my laundry and clean up this dorm before tonight so I'll hopefully be updating on a more regular basis once everything gets settled down here.

And just to let yall know God is really really working in my life here right now. I totally feel his hand/prescence everywhere! I remember Scott telling us seniors in one of his Wednesday night things about whatever you look for in college you will find. If you're looking for a good time without God it's everywhere. You can easily find that. But if you keep God first and search for him on your campus you will find him. I totally have. I just thank God for letting me be able to meet some Christian people on this campus. I feel as if I was searching and I have found..but I don't know only time will tell. Alright well I'll hopefully update later. Bye!

Mae

Man, tomorrow afternoon I leave for ASU. I've been packing all day today so far. I'm really excited.

Tonight I'm going to Alamo Cafe with a couple people to say goodbye. And I said goodbye to Andrew and Jessica earlier. Jessica I just said I'd call when I got into San Angelo..but I think she's gonna get there before me. We're leaving in the afternoon bc Austin doesn't want to miss his first two classes...great. But hey, I want him to be there and help..so I'm waiting. My mom and I are going to meet Jessica and her mom at Jim's tomorrow morning to say goodbye to them. That's gonna be hard for me. Really hard.

Well, off to get ready for Alamo and pack. Love yall!

WELP...Jessica got back into town on Monday night. So I went over to her house last night and spent the night. But before that I went to EZ's with Jenna. I haven't seen or talked to her since graduation. I was really happy to be able to do that before she leaves for UNT on Wednesday. She's really neat. We walked to Amy's after EZ's and got some ice-cream. She also has a new car she's taking to UNT. I'm jealous and hate her for that. She also has a new boyfriend. It was a good night.

So when I got to Jessica's house I, in true Maegan fashion, broke something. They had an antique wooden shelf-type thing holding antique baby spoons. I, of course, moved a little too close to the wall and sent it crashing to the floor. It was pretty much shattered..I felt so bad. I like RAN up to Jessica's room so I wouldn't have to face her mom haha. But her mom fixed it..luckily. Pretty much we stayed up in her room watching tv, talking online and talking with each other all night. But we did make a quick trip to Blockbuster to buy some DVD's bc she wants to improve her collection before she leaves in a week for Houston Baptist.

I had to get up at 7:00 freakin AM to drive alllll the way back to my side of town so my mom and brother could use the car to get to school. I had no idea that 410 west could be THAT crowded at 7:15 in the morning. I'm in awe. I think it has something to do with people having "jobs" or something like that..I don't know. But after I dropped them off I totally came back to the house and fell back asleep. I didn't get up till noon. It was great.

When I woke back up I got ready to go run errands and meet Ian and Jessica at La Madeleine for lunch. It was a good lunch. I got to see everyone that I hadn't seen since I stopped working there like three weeks ago. I had some pictures for one of the managers Mike. He dressed up in a fat suit one morning and I walked in and I had my camera with me so I got like two pictures..they are HILARIOUS. He looks soo freakin funny. But the best part of the whole lunch is that I went to the back and asked if they would just check and see if maybe I had one more check left. And to my astonishment and extreme joy - THEY DID!! yay!! It was only for $47.53, but hey..anything helps.

After that Jessica and I went to get our eyebrows waxed - OUCH! haha I really didn't expect it to hurt that bad..my eyes were watering like crazy. Last time I had it done it did not hurt that bad. But yeah and Ian got a manicure. I was like you are very secure in your masculinity.

After that I finished running the rest of the errands and went to the Mac tennis match..at Mac. I saw Austin's match..and a little of Shannon and Erica's. It's always fun to go to at least just talk to people. Eddie was there and was like "we're getting a group together to go out to eat Thursday night, but your mom said you already have plans..you're gonna come with us right?" I was like NOO! i'm already eating with Jessica and her mom and my mom and we're gonna have a big goodbye time filled with tears and laughter. But I talked to Jessica online and they can go to breakfast on Friday morning so I told Eddie I'd go. So apparently it's eddie, ryan, shannon, ben, gabi, amie, me and ian going to Cheesecake Factory at 7:00 on Thursday night. It's kind of a tennis goodbye thing. If I'm right Gabi, Ryan and I all leave this Friday for our separate colleges. Actually Gabi and Ryan might be going to the same college now that I think about it..but yeah whatever.

I think tomorrow Jessica and I are gonna go play tennis at the Mac courts around noon. Andrew and I did that yesterday. It was sooo hott. And he was a lot better than I thought. We had some pretty good rallies going on there. hahhaha and afterwards we went to the track to watch the tennis team run their daily mile before they start practice. It was so saddistic. But yeah Jessica really wants to learn how to play tennis before she leaves for HBU. So I really want to teach her well. But yeah I'm just rambling..so I'll stop.

But, as always, I'm dying for move-in day to get here. I'm trying to stop thinking about it..but I can't. I can only keep packing lol. I'm so ready. This friday baby.

P.S. - hahah i love my new profile pic simply because it was taken by jessica off-guard at midnight in Lake Jackson at Will's house while watching the notebook. It's just so random ..I love it.

P.S.S. - I always plan on just writing a small entry every time I get to my xanga page. And I just looked at all my entries..and they're absurdly long. I guess once I get started talking I just can't stop.
