I have this cool one year devotional called "Time With God" subtitled "The New Testament for Busy People".  I don't know if I am "busy people", but I have used this devotional since January 15th 1997 when my twin (evil) gave it to me.  Each day has a new testament section, some old testament and a section called "Insights" with contemporary writers.  They tie everything together under one theme.  Todays theme "Live in the Light!" was from 1 John 1 & 2.  At the end there is an application section which asks you 3 or 4 questions to ponder.  Many times I ignore this section or read them quickly and move on, but today's questions messed me up.  Here they are in context of living in the light:  1.)  Describe what it means for YOU to "live in the light." and then the big whammy: 2.) What corners of darkness in your life do you need to open up to God's cleansing light? It struck me that part of our small group's responsibility is for this purpose.  Accountability.  That means sharing with other believers in your community areas or "corners" in your life that need "light".  Hopefully you can find someone to help you do that.  I encourage everyone in our group to find 1 person, staff or student, that you can talk to and open up about one of these "corners" in your life.  Our men in our group, and I can use "men" now, have started to do this.  We have identified the corner, but are having a hard time getting light into it.  Please pray for us on that matter.  I hope even one person may respond to this message and seek the light as I felt lead to post this and hence never regain the 30 minutes in my life.  Don't let it be in vain!

Well, we met last night.  9 students and 5 staff.  Thanks all who attended.  Those who couldn't it is well understood why.  I hope you were doing something with your mothers!  The ladies and Jonah tried on dresses and we continued some discussion on prayer.  Aunna got some excellent footage of our meeting.  See her for pictures.  This Wednesday is the cook out at the Burnetts' and we are going to be taking an official class photograph to be presented at the Sunday banquet so please be there.  And Brennan, please remember to bring your camera!

I hope I don't get a call from the FBI, or worse, a parent, for making these pictures public, but these guys beg to have compromising pictures posted on the internet.  I hope they never decide to run for Congress, Senate or some other high public office, because these pictures are sure to surface . . . then it's GAME OVER!

Going . . . going . . . GONE!  Sorry, I will miss you and the days on the sewage filled Maumee River, but alas, it is time to go our separate ways.  You'll always have a special place in my heart.  Maybe someday we will re-unite.
