  • Independence Day Weekend Weddings- Part 1

Busy, Busy, Busy...tryin' to get caught up on the blog ! July 4th weekend features 2 couples giving up their independence on Independence Day weekend ! (Hey, best thing they ever did !) First we have Tara and Dana on July 4th. Tara's mom, Karen, was the wedding co-ordinator / banquet manager at the local Courtyard Marriott. She now has a different position in the organization. I was more than flattered that she contacted me to photograph Tara's wedding. Tara and Dana are an easy-going, fun-loving couple and their wedding and reception reflected it. They did the entire day in the Wintergarden Room-like a big solarium to work in. Thanks for letting me share the 4th with you and your great families DSC_1912 DSC_2053 DSC_2102 DSC_2119 DSC_2122

  • Terra & Kevin - June 28, 2008

Here's one that makes me feel old. Hard to believe I photographed Terra's older sister, Pam's wedding nearly 25 years ago ! I believe Terra was the flower girl ! Anyway nurse Terra found teacher Kevin on a one evening cruise on Lake Erie and the rest is history ! I've been working with them for a year starting with engagement portraits and now the wedding. They got married at Lady of Peace Church then we dodged some raindrops and did some quick outdoor photos at Dobbin's Landing where they met on that "cruise ship" ! Then it was off to their fabulous reception at the Bel-Aire Hotel. Truly great people and a great wedding !DSC_1409 DSC_1436 DSC_1456 DSC_1469 DSC_1585 DSC_1680

  • Amanda & Jim - June 21, 2008

Amanda's aunt booked the wedding and I never met Amanda and Jim until I did their engagement portraits last summer. They are a really sweet and sincere couple and really in LOVE ! On the wedding day Jim's mom told me he was raised with two older sisters who not only beat him up when he was young but also taught him how to treat women ! He apparently learned his lesson well. They were married at Sacred Heart Church by Fr. John Hollywood ! and their reception was at the scenic Union Station. I must be on a lucky stretch of just the greatest wedding couples anyone could ask for. This has been one great season so far !DSC_0478 DSC_0636 DSC_0722 DSC_0754 DSC_0773 DSC_1097

  • I shoot dogs !!

Each year the Humane Society of Northwestern Pennsylvania publishes a pet calendar-actually it's more like a really nice day planner. Pet owners pay a fee to have their pet's photograph on one of the pages of the calendar. Local photographers donate their services photographing the pets for publication. In my spare time I've been shooting (OK, photographing) dogs for the calendar. I've always enjoyed photographing dogs and am a big time dog lover. In fact 3 of our best ever dogs have been Humane Society dogs. To me this is the least I can do for them in return. To quote a dog food ad "Dogs Rule !!"DSC_4455 DSC_2211 DSC_2317 DSC_2358
