here I am

Well I have now been here at my new job for a month and I like it!  I really enjoy being at CU.  If I hadn't gotten this job I wouldn't have heard Hank speak in chapel, he was the pastor that married Trevor and I 2 1/2 years ago.  He is awesome!!!  He has such a gift and has the coolest job in the world i am convinced.  He has such an opportunity to reach out to the people of L.A. i know he is making a difference there.  I miss him so much at Southbrook and I know him and Trevor would have been best friends had he stayed long enough to actually spend some time with him.    When he left he thought he might come back after getting his masters but God clearly had other plans.  Good to see you again Hank.

stupid bees

so i am sitting outside eating my lunch and a stupid bee decides its going to hide where the side of my elbow rests against my side and then when smashed by (an unaware that its is there) briggie decides its going to sting my arm.......stupid bee!!!  The last time i was stung i was prolly no more than 5 years old and it was traumatic.  This scared the poo out of me and brought tears to my eyes.  I jumped and threw the water bottle i was holding up in the air.  Surprisingly only a small portion got on my mom who was there with me.  This was at about 12:20 and now going on 4:00 it still hurts like a son of a you know what.

Thankfully manda takes care of her briggie and brought her an ice pack and some sort of paste made out of baking soda and papaya enzyme thanks to the book of natural healing.  Bee stings still hurt bad even when you aren't a wimpy 5 year old.   Stupid bee!!!!!

so i have started my new job, while it is completly different then my previous one and a very detail oriented process driven position.  I LOVE IT!! but compared to my last job that might not be saying much.

and i can go more than one week without putting gas in my car

funny story, so one of my new co workers asked me about my job and after telling them about they said "wow, i bet you met a lot of neat people that really wanted to change." HAHAHAHAHAHA without laughing out loud i said "well actually we got alot of people court mandated and they really didn't want to care, every once in a while you got someone that really wanted to change and a few that appeared to but then we could no longer find.".....yeah state funded drug treatment programs...very few want to be drug free and stay that way for the rest of their lives.

I leave for vacation on Friday, to wrightsville beach, which is the clearest water on the east coast.  It will be a new adventure for us, while we have been here before we only took a day trip there from the beach an hour away where we were staying.  So now we have a house instead of a condo that is going to be fun.  Just a few short minutes from wilmington, the coolest city in America with the best selection of restaraunts found nowhere but there.  And.......we will be doing the extra thing again if there is an opportunity so i might once again get one of my limbs on television!!!!

And....I AM SO EXCITED!!!!  Things couldn't have worked out more perfectly, last day at McKinley Hall and leave for vacation!!! woo hoo.
