  • My New Blog

    As y'all can tell....
    I don't update this often.

    *shrugs*

I spend most of my time on Facebook or elsewhere.

However, I have a new blog.
It shall be my closest thing to a 'personal' blog.
    Trip Over Nothing .com

It is my simple analysis of life.
Please check it out, and I hope you find it interesting!

  • Three Quick Questions

    I lied.
    Three quick questions.

What three things do you look forward to the most today? and this week?

If I were to give you $3,000 and told you that you could get three (and only three) things - what would they be?

  • Farewell Xanga

See the big ad to the right?
    Notice the confusing navigation?
    I recognize that from somewhere....
    hm....
    maybe...
    MySpace?

I first got this Xanga forever-and-ago. Back then it was purely a weblog - I loved it.
There were times where I'd post three to five times a day!
    Things were going great.

Until Xanga started adding more features.
Their rich text editor that is a pain to use.
    Then photos.
    Movies.
    Pulse.
    Skins.

Now Xanga is simply trying to become MySpace with a different format that is extremely confusing unless you use all of the facets.

But what if I don't want to use all of them?
    What if I don't want a skin?
What if I just want a blog?

In that case, Xanga isn't for you.
    Hence, my lack of posting.

Want to keep in touch with me?
    Get a Facebook.

    Still want a blog?
Hang in there, I'm mapping out a re-design for brianpurkiss.net - I'm gonna have a personal blog in there.

I wish I could still use Xanga.
I got it so long ago it hurts to let it go.
    But, I must.
There are much better ways to use all of the features Xanga has. (Self hosting, Wordpress.org, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, etc)
So, I'm going to stick with those.

    Farewell Xanga.
I miss what you once were.

Purple. Weird color. Weird name. Weird everything. Makes sense for it to be my theme doesn't it?
