Well hello again. :]
I have been away from Xanga for awhile you might say.
This summer has been a lot of fun. Jenelle and Derek came to visit over July 4th, Angelina was in Chicago for the summer, Wendy got married, I got to sing for that, I saw my whole family, I've begun a new book series, and Choir retreat is this weekend.
I'm excited about what is coming up, but I feel like life is going too fast. I can't believe that I'm entering my third year of High School. I feel like I was just meeting my classmates for the first time yesterday, and now I have best friends.
But that's life for ya I guess. :]

Hey, well. I think that lately I've just been totally fed up with the un-patriotic people around me, the people who don't care what they do, people who don't have morals, the people who do not think, people who believe that God is not needed, people who do not care, people who think they are the center of the world,... the list goes on. I do not usually see many people like this, but I did not to long ago see some people like this. It is one of those things that fills me up with an inexpressible feeling. I am like this. When something happens, I usually have feelings about it, but sometimes it is hard for me to know how to respond at first.

I just needed to post that. I'm getting really frustrated because in History class we're "learning" about the Iraq War... Many of the students in my class are saying/arguing that we should never have gone into Iraq, that we made a mistake, that we are there because we need to clean up the mess we created ( what mess? did we fly the planes?), we are over in Iraq because of Oil, we shouldn't get involved with other countries affairs (seeing as every time we don't get involved, something bad happens), Saddam Hussein wasn't a mad man,... All that to say, I'm frustrated.

Before you listen to this... let me explain :)
In my history class we just learned about the genocide that is happening in Darfur, Sudan.
I created this short song in response to what we learned. It is supposed to be a little "off" to signify that there are issues that need to be addressed in Africa. Also, it is supposed to sound eerie to signify the heartbreak being experienced. It is also supposed to sound as though it ends abruptly, that is to signify that we are in the middle of it and it is not over yet.
I hope this makes you wonder...

disagreeable or she would nothave said such a thing to an...

MR KNIGHTLEY:
Miss Bates, will you give me the pleasure of your company 
whilst I picksome more strawberries?

MISS BATES:
Oh, thank you, Mr Knightley. That would be charming.

MR KNIGHTLEY:
Emma, how could you be so unfeeling to Miss Bates? 
How can you be so insolent to a woman of her age and situation? 
I had not thought itpossible?

EMMA:
How could I help saying it? I daresay she did not understand me.

MR KNIGHTLEY:
Oh, I assure you, she felt your fool meaning. She cannot 
stop mentioningit! I wish you could have heard her honor
your forbearance in putting up with her when her society is 
so irksome.

EMMA:
I know there is no better creature in all the world, but you must allow
that blended alongside of the good there is an equal among of 
ridiculous in her.

MR KNIGHTLEY:
Were she prosperous, or a woman equal to your age and situation, 
I would not quarrel with any liberties of manner. But she is poor! 
Even moreso than when she was born, and should she live to be 
an old lady, she will sink further still, her situation being in every 
way below you should secure your compassion!
Badly done, Emma. Badly done. She has watched you grow
from a time when her notice of you was in honor to this, 
humbling her and laughing at her in front of people who would 
be guided by your treatment of her. It is not pleasant for me to say 
these things, but I must tell you the truth while I still can, 
proving myself your friend by the most faithful counsel, 
trusting that sometime you will do my faith in you greater justice
that you do it now.

well, now that I am a month and 12 days past my last post, I thought that maybe I should update :)
