Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

Change

I've decided to change some things, but not just for the act of changing but because sometimes things just need to change.

So it begins like it always does, about good times with good friends, the jokes we'll play, and the times we've had together; and you may wonder where the change begins. I'll think of those times, watching movies and long walks with close friends but I'll also mention times of truth and relevency. When me and Brad talked of different beliefs and on hell, talking about the state of the church with . . . well everyone, Isaac and Sean on spirit-filled hardcore, and when Devin, Nethaneel and myself went on and on about history, advanced Egyption technology, and the end of the world. I love the fun times but it will be these times that I'll want to remember.

This is what I've been thinking about recently . . .

Wake Dead Man, Wake by As Cities Burn

"let the dead bury their own dead
will you still love me in famine
as when love began at the harvest
or would you gain the whole world
son, I love you at your darkest
but what good is the whole world
when I promise no tomorrow
I only promise your tomorrows
will never take you past my palm
love, what is love without trust
at my word would you bring your isaac
son, I loved you at your darkest"

Inside Of Me by Jason Morant

"You are so very lovely
And so overwhelming yes You are
You define mercy by looking right down on me
And calling me pure
You've torn away the night
Opened up my eyes to the daylight
Now I walk alongside my Father
Without fear of what may come tomorrow
Because I know even in death I'm alive
Because You are inside of me
You all that You've done for me
One day soon I will see
All that You are
You could have ignored me
Instead You took hold of me and softened this heart"

Replace Me by Family Force 5

"My Batteries died sometime ago
Gotta heart shaped box where they must go
Corrosion's building everyday
My flesh is leading me astray that's why I started to decay and I will slowly rot away but I can't feel that anyway
This heart it wants to beat
These Lungs they want to breathe
These eyes they wants to see
Gotta Mouth that wants to sing
Desperation
Needing U
Every last breath
I scream for you
Shatter me into a million pieces...Make me new
Crush me, tear me, break me, mold me
Make me what U want me to be
I am ur's for U to use
Oh, Take and Replace me with U
Needing more than just a jump start to get me through
My disconnection is now the issue.....
I miss my 1st love bad and its driving me mad
Just Like a mixed up crazy person out of his head
Its been a long long time I've been on the decline
I do an a-bout face so I can be replaced. 180!!!
This heart it wants to beat
These Lungs they want to breathe
These eyes they wants to see
Gotta Mouth that wants to sing
Desperation
Needing U
Every last breath
I scream for you
Shatter me into a million pieces...Make me new
Crush me, tear me, break me, mold me
Make me what U want me to be"

Currently untitled (and unfinished) song

How can we live our lives this way,
walking down a road of death?
what? what can we do?
who? who can we turn to?

I've walked this path time and time again
and know where it leads.
You walk on and on despite my plee . . .
(my soul won't go any further
because I know where it takes me.)
. . .

(BIG EMPTY SPACE THAT NEEDS WORDS)

In us beats the heart of One.
But where we be if that heart stops beating?
                          DEAD!
Dead. Not in mind, or in body, but in spirit.

Entertainment & Me

Reading: The other day I was scouring through my bookshelf for another bookmark. I have strted yet another book and I've never realized how many I haven't finished until I couldn't find a free bookmark. The wonderful new book is Faith of my Fathers by Chris Seay. I stopped as I read the introduction to make a resolution to finish one book before I go any further into this one. A few weeks back I started A.W. Tozer's The Pursuit of God but decided to finish something I was further into, I have Rock Stars on God by Doug Van Pelt and All The Hits So Far But Don't Expect Too Much: Poetry, Prose & Other Sundry Items by the amazing Bradley Hathaway but those are two books that are for picking up every so often to read one certain thing from, there is no central point that cannot be achieved by not reading front-to-back. So the book I have chosen to complete is called God.com; I started this book a while back when my dryer was broken and I had been spending a lot of time at the laundrymat but had gotten only half through it. It is definitely an amazing book, the way the author writes makes everything seem so real and relevant. Remind me to lend it to you some time.

Listening: I despise the new Switchfoot album, Nothing Is Sound. When I first heard it I wasn't too impressed (but that was mostly because I had grown bored of The Beautiful Letdown quickly) but what agitates me is that i can not copy any of it onto my computer. I admit that it slowly some of the osngs have grown on me but still not all of them. There are two songs that I really enjoy (I love the slow ones), one is called The Shadow Proves The Sunshine and the other is The Blues. They are the only ones that I really love (Easier Than Love reminds me of The Rock 'n Roll Worship Circus) but the cd has a safeguard where the only way to make a back up copy of the disc on your computer is to have Windows Media Player 9 or later. I don't. Its sucks.

Watching: Before I go on to something else I must say this: The Office is by far one of the funniest (and cleanest) comedies on television. It airs Thursday nights at 8:30 on NBC.

I borrowed some dvds from Michael Sunday night and instantly got hooked on Samarai Champloo, which is usual for me and Japanese television shows that don't suck. Its not only the story or animation that is great but it is very artistic in the way that they tell the story (shots, etc.) The mixture of the scenes/story/dialogue and this jazzy hip-hop music playing in the background (vaguely similar to Mars Ill or Deepspace 5). Its just too cool. If you ever hear of it or get a chance to see it I highly recomend it.  I also borrowed Street Fighter Alpha: Generations. If you are a Street Fighter fan then I suggest you stear far, far clear of this 45 minute movie. Alpha was good, this was not. And that is all I have To say about that.
