| <Sigh> I had SUCH a good time at the dance....however, I can't describe every detail, seeing as it was almost 4 hours long! At first no one was having fun, and it was pretty much loitering around outside the dance, etc, but once it got dark everything livened up, and nobody felt self-conscious about dancing. I thought I would have an OK time and not dance at all. Eventually I realized that I really wanted to dance, even tho I'm HORRIBLE at it....the way I saw it was "Hell, we have one dance a year, everyone else is dancing, I might as well join in and have a good time....I know I can't dance for my life, but no one is actually going to TELL me that, I already know it!" It was such a relaxed atmosphere...I had such a good time, and spent the whole time dancing with everyone...I think the fact that everyone mingling dancing with everyone else made things kinda casual....I just GENUINELY had a good time, I'm not even sure why...however, by like around 9 o clock my feet hurt SOOOOOOOOOO much, Jesus, I couldn't stand and I was ready to fall down, THEN, Charles gave me a foot massage---He is my God!!! I love you Charles!! Sometime around then, Mariah and Alex and I went to the bathroom, but our feet pain was so intense that we couldn't even bear thinking about walking back into the dance...we found some couches outside of the dance and sat down, but then some people came out to tell us that it was the 9th grade girls picture being taken...so went back in....owwwww. My theory is that the pain is HORRIBLE, but if u STOP dancing/moving/jumping it gives ur feet more reaction time and it hurts even more. Ouch. And the DJ actually took requests...I requested Bad Touch and Oh Boy, and he actually played BOTH. I was rather surprised....it always seems that he only starts playing good music at the end of the dance....or maybe because it's the end of the dance it suddenly sounds so much better...when he played "Will You Remember Me" I thought everyone was gonna cry....it almost seemed like everyone left with such an air of despair and dissapointment...I felt guilty for not being upset, but I had such a good time....my night practically went off without a hitch, except my feet and the fact that it was so hot inside. I gotta say tho....it was absolutely AMAZING...during "All THe Small Things" there were exactly 3 circles....everyone was in some circle, with joined hands jumping up and down....that was such a cute memory <sigh> So when Mariah/Jesse/Carolyn came home....Car's dad picked her up almost immediately afterwards, and Jesse's dad came to pick them up too. I ended up going online at 12:15 (I was dead tired, I have no idea why I was still awake) and stayed online till like 1. When I looked at the clock before I went to bed it was 1:20, and eventually drifted off to sleep.
Saturday...I really didn't do that much...I talked to Carolyn on the phone, and spent a lot of time on the phone with Daryl also. Then eventually, my Mom and I walked to Barnes n Noble then sat around and read for a while. My mom bought a book and a CD and I was gonna buy cosmogirl, but the only one in stock was all messed up and shit, so I decided I would get it somewhere else. Then we walked back home, and I got home at around 10:15 or so, and chatted with Eunice on the phone for a while...unfortunately my mom needed the phone, but it was a really nice conversation nonetheless. I went online at about 10:40 or so....talked to Alex/Matt/Daryl/Boris/Eunice, and headed offline at about 11:30.
This morning, I got up at about 10, took a shower, ate breakfast (or sorta, someone made omelettes, and I hate eggs so I didn't really eat it) and went online. I hafta go to my cousin's baby shower today....I love my cousin and all, but I'm not exactly gonna have a blast at this shower....sitting at a restaurant for hours being bored, ohhh welllll....<sigh>
It's really strange, lately I've been SO reminiscent, and time spent with family/friends seems so much more valuable. I LOOOVVEEE summer and I never want it to end. Till later everyone. Mwah |
