Car time!
We bought a car. A cute little red 1991 Toyota Camry that Jeff likes to refer to alternatively as "red dragon," "red rooster," or "red team go" depending on his mood. Now we just have to get some car insurance so we can drive it away from the previous owner's lot! I tell ya, this whole growing up and being responsible thing is a pain! To make things just slightly more difficult, Jeff and I keep having phone problems IN OUR OWN APARTMENT! We have all the bars needed, and we're on the 3G network, which is supposed to be our main network... and yet our phones somehow don't work and keep rejecting our calls. So many grr's and cusses in frustration have been heard from our living room.
Anyhoo, off to call insurance agents at random.

Moving time!
We have a place to live! No more jokes from my dad about us living under a bridge next year - we have a very nice apartment waiting for us now! Unfortunately, because we've put this off for so long, we now have a mere two weeks before moving all our stuff up to Michigan. Don't worry, we'll be back for a little big the first (or second) week of August - there are some weddings we must attend - but otherwise, we're gone. and of course, neither of us has even begun to think about packing. It's going to be a crazy 2 weeks getting all this taken care of. But we'll be in Ann Arbor!!!!
also, i messed with the theme settings for my site, but have no idea if they saved them properly. does my site look super screwy?

Married life
I've been married for a full week now - awesome. And our honeymoon was a blast. But unfortunately, I seem to have left my keys in O-Canada. So much for swapping keys with the husband, i had to ask for all the duplicates back today so i could get into my apartment and drive my car and such.
in other news: i have no other news. i need to catch up on some michigan paperwork and oh yeah, we still need a place to live. but otherwise, life is hella sweet.
hope you all (ha, who am i kidding, no one reads this thing anyway) are doing well.

Daemons

Yup, they're making a movie from one of my favorite kids books, and it looks freakin' awesome. Nicole Kidman is a fantastic casting choice. I'm psyched for December.
I discovered my daemon (option on the website) - it was a gibbon (type of ape) named Lutheus, but unfortunately I must have typed my email in incorrectly because I didn't save him well enough to get him posted on here. However, he looked like this:
Cool, eh?
Oh, and pirates3 rocks. it actually makes me sad how it ends, even though it's not horribly sad. and while jack's character becomes pretty crazy and predictable, elizabeth and will's characters become way cooler than they were in the other two. in summary, go see it!

My Future
Ann Arbor, here we come! I'm going to the University of Michigan next fall for grad school, where I will be working under the famous (at least in paleoanth circles) Dr. Wolpoff, who besides being famous is also a really nice guy. I'm going to freeze but I'm looking forward to every moment of it.
Thought I'd just post a little about what I'm doing with my life.
In the meantime - Graduation in coming up soon, and so is the wedding which is a pain to plan so it better be freakin' amazing. I love life. I just don't love homework, but I should go do some tonight to make up for doing none yesterday or the day before.
