| | Crazy '08In the middle of the third month, taking a breath to say what it's been like so far. That was fast and crazy.
January ••• Aftermath of a very fun Christmas season. Back to school, then family darama. My uncle had open heart surgery, and my Dad had a heart attack. Needless to say, it was really hard. I wasn't sure how to keep my little brothers happy. Leo was as terrified as I was, and Michael Angelo wasn't really understanding what was happening. It happened so fast, so many thoughts were running in my head. It was probably the scariest thing in my life, so it was incredibly comforting when my Aunty Debbie and Hannah came to the house. To top things off, Jasmine was away with my uncle, taking care of his kids since he was in the hospital. Thank God for his kindness, Dad was in the hopsital for less than aweek and back and running soon after. It was simply amazing how many phone calls, letters, visits, and hugs my family received in that month. People we hadn't heard from in forever, calling in to see how Dad was doing. Everyone's support made it easier. The end of the month was the best part, hanging out with my sister was TONS of fun.
Lessons Learned: God is always there, and he is always in control. When emergencies happen, friends and family are a true blessing to help you through the struggle, ask you how you are and when you answer "Ok" ask if you're sure, cry with you and make you laugh, and just be there to help you feel better. Breathe, it helps.
Feb •••• January is over? Fun month with Grissel, movie nights, dorky times, laughs and laughs and laughs. The month flew by as everyday was lost. Near the end of the month, Mom, Charlie, and Grissel went on a road trip, leaving the house in a very different state. By God's grace I am learning to see goodbyes in a different light, everything he does is for a reason. Hanging out with freinds that weekend helped get my mind off of being (oh-so-slightly) jealous of my Mom and brother. I had a birthday, yes very fun. Interesting day, consisting of ice cream, tacos, a trip to the mall, and laughing. A very fun beach bonfire youthgroup was an intersting end to the month. The cold sand, volleyball game, hot dogs, running, and overalll atmosphere [Hey, I love the beach :)] made a great youth night.
March•••• Only halfway through, I know. This month has included: a S.D trip for my cousins brithday party (complete with joking cousin on the way there), catching up on missed school, and darn it, sickness. Yes, the house was scary, most of us haad something very similar to pink eye, with people sleeping at every corner. Despite this, I decided to continue plans for my birthday party which were carried out. Hey (!) I still hada fun watching Step Up 2 and playing games, I just was a little on the zero-energy side (those who know me should know something must've been wrong. But, thankfully, I am completely better now, along with almost all the family.
