absolutely amazing weekend...it went by in a flash

i'm sitting here at 3:38am on monday morning.  I've just taken a 12 hour nap after church to recooperate from the 3 weeks of abbreviated sleep and overload of preparations.  i'm waking up in a bit of a haze because jason or her parents haven't killed me for sleeping next to christine, i'm assuming i'm married now.

first we'd like to thank everybody for helping out.  we couldn't have done it without you guys.  and you all did an incredible job!  everybody has been complimenting us and we wished all the helpers could hear it too.

special thanks to the yoons for their all their hard work...moses, joyce, and sam.

here are some pics from my sister's and other friends' cameras...
below...beautiful shot during the ceremony.  walt reading the scripture at our wedding.  seeing a friend's face up there definitely helped us to relax.

below: cutting the cake with mrs. choi!

below: the reason why we had to duck out for 30 minutes during the reception.  we had to perform in pae baek, a korean tradition from many many years back.

below: we did it!!!

more pics and thank yous to come!  i can't wait for the honeymoon!!!

(edited) i FINALLY learned how to drive a stickshift last night.  i've never been more frustrated in my LIFE! (well until i got it that is)  hopefully i didn't do anything too bad to my car.

thank you to all that helped (toiwa and tien)

*Edit*  Hope everyone had a great xmas.  I had a great time sharing it with the paik's.  Many updates and pics to share.  I'll try to catch up soon.

Here's a couple pics i'll leave you with. The newest addition to the family right before I drove off...

a little announcement to make...(we wish we could tell you all in person)

besides buying a new grill and tv...i also made another small puchase...a diamond ring.  and this past weekend at penn state i proposed to love of my life, Christine Eunkyung Paik

and she said YES!!!!

the ring itself was really tricky and really hard to keep a secret because it took about 3 months to figure out and get custom built for my lil lady.  during those months...there were  a few occasions where christine and i wandered into mall jewelry stores...and i had to do my best to play dumb and act as if i couldn't afford anything bigger than a quarter carat ring AND that i had no idea what CUT, COLOR, and CLARITY was.

let me just say i could see the fear in her eyes.  but in the back of my mind i knew i had the PERFECT rock....

well on with the pics...

below:  after i proposed.   =)

below: christine with the rock

below: picture of the happy couple

below: christine all teary eyed with her brother jason
