song on repeat: head in heels this weekend in simple term was amazing!!!! 1. This past weekend, from Thursday to Sunday, was probably the most fun I have had in the longest time. For once, I was living my life so it was so good. Prewarped Tour Party hosted by Militia Group and Hopeless on Thursday. Pomona Warped Tour and Work on Friday. Work on Saturday. Ventura Warped Tour and No One Goes Home on Sunday. Life could not have been better. 2. Prewarped Tour Party- I hadn't originally plan on going to the party but Brooks and Jose asked me to go and only because I get to see Brooks did I decide to go. However, I did not want to go to the party alone and it was hard trying to find someone to go with. Actually, no, it wasn't really that hard, just that Lilo was not sure if she would be able to go- so I was freaking out. She did go though and it was fun. Although the "White Man Dance" is probably going to give me nightmares for quite some time. 3. "The Millionaries" is a big fat joke. They are probably the most ridiculous "musicians" I have ever met- the record label they have makes every hard working band/artists look dumb. I hate them and anyone who supports this train wreck should be punched in the face and shot in the knee. However, I am digging Shwayze especially because one of his song sounds like LFO and you know how much I love LFO. 4. Pomona Warped Tour was hot! Hot hot hot- however I did not whine as much as I thought I would- I contained myself, very proud. The day started off amazing because after we went into the area, I went to find Valencia's set time because it was not posted on the floatable thingy where the schedule is. When I got to their tent, Brendan was standing there and he remembered me! That makes me so happy and makes him even more precious. Pretty much heart died when I saw their set- they continue to amaze me every time I see them. 5. Cora and I counted 100+ guys wearing plain white tshirts in less than an hour. We basically lost count after twenty minutes. It was sort of funny to see this, but it was entertaining for some part. I love Aaron and his explanation of seeing Relient K and smoking. It's okay to smoke because Relient K is performing. Walking around with Cora and Dollie for the rest of Warped was pretty much fun. I ended up seeing Valencia, Cobra, Oreska Band, The Academy Is..., The Color Fred, (some of) From First to Last, As I Lay Dying (sort of), The Higher... I think I saw more bands, but I don't know. 6. Going to work after Warped was definitely not the ideal situation as I felt like I stunk! However, I had no other choice but to go to work because seeing Dad aka The Color Fred > than going home to shower. I felt so gross and disgusting. It did not help that temperature was basically a 100+ the entire day. Gross! I changed in the restroom and attempted to freshen up. I did the best I could do, but still felt dirty. My hair was filled with sweat and my arm was- yeah not a pretty sight. I thought I smelled, but according to my co-workers I did not- so... I'm going to say I didn't, even though I know I probably did. 8. I had two major highlights of Ventura Warped Tour. First one being that Brendan, George, and Max of Valencia remembered me. Given that I saw that just two days ago, but seriously... Brendan is known as "special boyfriend" for a reason. So I totally squealed when they said hi and waved at me. It was weird being on the barricade even when I was not trying to. I hate the Ventura crowd- they were basically dead- so gay. Even so, George did crowd surf, luckily he was not dropped this time around *cough*CoraDollie*cough* Second highlight was seeing Brandon Ball and Kevin Connor of Eudora! Oh how happy I was to see those two boys. I love them so much. 9. Besides the two major highlights, the best part of the day came in the beginning when Lilo, Cora, and I were parking. We pulled into this spot that was sandwiched between two tour buses, and instead of pulling completely in because we would have been tramped, we parked on the outside spot. However, a car pulls up right next to us but goes in and is now literally boxed in. Her friend turns to her and gives her the "what the fuck we're stuck look"- and before she is able to back up, a car pulls up right behind her. Girl is blocked in!! Lilo, Cora, and I were dying! Oh man. Greatest thing ever. Oh and also hanging out with Stephanie, Lilo, and Cora was more than I can ask for. They were definitely the best company a girl can ask for. We all swooned over the cute bassist who I ask to take a picture with right after we walked into the festival area. We went on a "roller coaster" before finding out we were a penis. HA! 10. No One Goes Home show- first show in three months (if not more), three new songs and three oldies. Oh how I miss those boys so much. When I went to the back, Craig came up to hug me but it freaked me out at first because I did not recognize him, but I was glad to receive a hug. I found out through Nick that they have a song called "8 Billion", he so silly. Polaroid pictures in the parking lot was so much fun! She gave you the stink eye... so what! I dreamt of making my own grand slam, but by the time we left and headed back to El Monte I was way too tired to even care. 11. The bug that is floating around the office has found a way into my body. I don't want to get sick, but you can hear it in my voice. I am starting to sound like a chain smoker. Please cold go away! 12. I hated the awkwardness that existed last night at the show. Helen was able to pinpoint every reason for me and it makes me smile slightly to know that someone else understands how I feel. *sighs* I hope things get better. 13. Team Graham! Oh how i was rooting for him. However, it was not meant to be as she picked Jesse... (positive it was Jesse even though she called his name first) over Graham. *sighs* Poor Graham- I can't wait for the Men Tell All episode next week- cause you know Graham is going to be there. Now I'm rooting for Team Jason. Jason's son is so adorable! AHHH!!! |
