Today was not my day. Got a speeding ticket on the way home. The car in front of me was going only barely faster than the car to the right of me on the 5 lane highway and I was in the far left lane and needed to get to the far right lane. So freakin blue car to my right would not speed up or slow down so that I could get over so when the car in front of me scooted up just a bit I revved my Acrua RSX and changed lanes in front of the blue car so that I could get over. Well, little did I know that there was a cop in the 3rd lane. As soon as I made it to the far right lane the lights were on in my rear view mirrow so I exited off the free way. Sometimes you just know its you. There's no use fighting it. I just got off work so I'm still in my military uniform. The cop pulls up behind me, asks for license and insurance card and told me he saw me accelerate in front of him and proceeds on back to his Dodge Charger. I was able to shoot two quick texts stating that I got pulled over before he comes back. He pointed to where I needed to sign on the ticket and told me I should take defensive driving so that it doesn't mar my license. What the heck! Thanks buddy. I've never received a ticket until now so I don't know why he didn't just give me a warning! The ticket stated I was doing a 76 in a 65 lane. My ticket took less than 5 minutes to receive. Atleast he didn't take his sweet time writing the ticket. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh so mad!

So how good are my odds of going to court and pleading with the judge to dismiss the ticket? I really don't want to take the 8 hours of defensive driving for Texas. If push comes to shove I'll suck it up and take the course though. But really, how good are my odds????? Maybe the guy will have a moment of kidness before his shift is over and rip my ticket up??? Fat chance huh?

 Poooooo

Friday, May 30, 2008

Awww poo I sprained my ankle today right before work got out... He's an escape artist, I swear! No matter how I put the funnel on him to prevent him from licking he still manages to get it off by the time I come home from work.

How do I add pictures and stuff to my rantings and ravings?

Anywho expect me to post a lot since my ass is going to be home most of this weekend.

Sunday, May 25, 2008

Did I mention that I turned down orders to pcs to Netherlands for 2 years last July? I'm kickin' myself in the butt right now for it. I would be leaving this July. poo :(

My cousin told me that there's a beer that tastes like herbal tea. I think he said the beer was called hoegaarden witbier-biere blanche. I'm skeptical.
Friday, May 23, 2008

Wow......Its been a while since i've been back to xanga... Gay! Out of that 17 only 4 of us actually worked to get those medals. I can not believe somebody's package for their achievement medal read that they're deserving because they dressed up as the person the base was named after for a couple of reinactments and got the medal. Wow, (shakes head) didn't know that you could get a medal for that! Another person's package read because they made a lot of phone calls to get medical supplies ordered. Gay!

Here's the niftiest quote. "Nobody dates and courts anymore. How you can tell you've found the right one is you gotta fuck as many people as you can and whoever you get pregnant (or impregnates you) is the one you're meant to be with." =P

And I hope you had another fun day Only_at Butterly_715! =P

Sunday, April 15, 2007

I'm going home next week for my baby sister's wedding. I didn't

Hmong as terrorists

So I saw this on DysphunktionalFamily's
page on my myspace account...and it's disturbing........ According to the new Patriot Act
Hmongs are classified as terrorists due to the fact that durning the
Vietnam War we fought as gorrila fighters even though we fought on the
side of the United States... Click on the link below to take you to
the news article....

http://abclocal.go.com/kfsn/story?section=local&id=5043637

I think this story is funny so enjoy....

Timeless Lesson

Timeless lesson on how consultants
can make a difference for an
organization.

Last week, we took some friends out to a new restaurant, and noticed that
the waiter who took our order carried a spoon in his shirt pocket. It
seemed a little strange. When the busboy brought our water and utensils,
I noticed he also had a spoon in his shirt pocket. Then I looked around
and saw that all the staff had spoons in their pockets.

When the waiter came back to serve our soup I asked, "Why the spoon?"
"Well, "he explained, "the restaurant's owners hired Andersen
Consulting
to revamp all! our processes. After several months of analysis, they
concluded that the spoon was the most frequently dropped utensil. It
represents a drop frequency of approximately 3 spoons per table per hour.
If our personnel are better prepared, we can reduce the number of trips
back to the kitchen and save 15 man- hours per shift."

As luck would have it, I dropped my spoon and he was able to replace it
with his spare. "I'll get another spoon next time I go to the kitchen
instead of making an extra trip to get it right now."

I was impressed. I also noticed that there was a string hanging out of
the waiter's fly. Looking around, I noticed that all the waiters had the
same string hanging from their flies. So before he walked off, I asked the
waiter, "Excuse me, but can you tell me why you have that string right
there?"

"Oh, certainly!" Then he lowered his voice. "Not everyone is so
observant.
That consulting firm I mentioned also found out that we can save time in
the restroom. By tying this string to the tip of you know what, we can
pull it out without touching it and eliminate the need to wash our hands,
shortening the time spent in the restroom by 76.39 percent.

I asked "After you get it out, how do you put it back?"

"Well," he whispered, "I don't know about the others, but I use
the spoon."

And I hope you had another fun day Only at Butterfly_715

***Hey how do I load pix onto Xanga now? It's changed. Damn it! If anybody knows, share the wealth!!!! Thanks...

I'm back from my trip home to Wisconsin. It was indeed a
white Christmas!!! And then it rained the next day so there was only
ice left for the remainder of the trip. Northwest Airlines is never on
time and if you miss your connecting flight they make it seem like it's
your fault still. They're delayed most of the time! I left
Friday the 22nd from San Antonio on a Northwest Airlines flight to go
home and here's what happened. My flight was delayed more than 30
minutes so I was afraid that I was going to miss my next flight in St.
Paul. We landed 5 minutes prior to the boarding time and I had to
change terminals. Looking on the monitors upon arrival I noticed
that my next flight was canceled and had to go to the ticket counter
for assistance. Tell me why Northwest has about 20 ticket
counters and only the last one was able to reissue tickets.

The guy behind the counter was not helpful. He didn't even try
to see if I could get another flight out that night, instead I was
booked for tommorow. When I asked if my accomodations were going
to be paid for he said no and gave me a 1-800 number to call to check
for available hotels in the local area. Turns out, the guy behind
me was on the same flight from san antonio and was told the same
thing from that guy. (there was also this really annoying little
dog that yipped the whole entire flight...goodness! who so happened to
be 2 rows behind me) I refused to pay $89 for something that I
had no fault in so I ended up sleeping in the Armed Forces
Center(USO). Thanks Armed Forces Center in St.Paul!!!

I found out the next day that the guy behind me slept on 4 chairs in
the air port. The next morning our flight also took off about 40
minutes late. When we finally were descending about to land in WI
the plane started climbing back up again and 5 minutes later the flight
attendent comes on the loud system to inform us that they didn't really
know what was going on. About 15 minutes later the pilot comes on
and says that the first flight line was closed due to 'a broken air
craft on the flight line' and the second one due to high tail
winds. We were diverted to another air port which took another
20-25 to reach.

When we finally landed at the diverted air port we had to wait around
for about an hour for a bus to arrive to bus us over to our orginal
destination. It was a 2 1/2 hour ride back to the air port that
we were supposed to land at. During the bus ride me and that
other guy were talking to some of the other passengers and found that
they were offered all accomodations paid for so the majority of them
slept in hotels. You can say I was not a happy panda when I heard
this... Hate flying Northwest but that's the only air line that
flys to central Wisconsin besides Midwest. Love Midwest!
You get fresh baked cookies on the flight. My wallet on the other
hand wasn't able to like Midwest :(
