in the dark

Room motion-detection sensors may seem like a good idea in the bathroom. If there is inactivity for say 15 minutes, you would assume no one is in there, so it would turn off the lights to save some electricity and a few bucks, but today i experienced the major drawback to it. Lets just say i had to be in the bathroom stall longer than that time limit. NO windows, no night lights. I even threw over a roll of toilet paper to maybe trigger the motion sensor. No luck. It so was pitch black in the bathroom, i had to keep pressing buttons on my cellphone to emit some sort of light, so i could walk out of there.

here's a pic to cool you down from the summer heat.

When is summer going to be over? I can't wait for playoff baseball, wearing sweatshirts, autumn bbq's, waiting in the subway station without being drenched and turning my air conditioner off.

So we finally tried Sripraphai in Woodside this weekend. Two thumbs up! Also had Harvest buffet AND Minado this weekend. I think i need to buy new pants now.

The Hills are Alive

So it finally launched. The website that owned me for like 80 hours a week. check it out:
http://www.brides.com

It was a pretty stressful time working on this site, but during this time i found a new therapeutic hobby.
The guitar! For me , banging out a few chords and singing off key really released alot of pressure for me. I suggest for those of you who dont already play, go get a cheap $100 guitar and get started. Just learn a few chords, go to your favorite guitar tab website, and you are good to go. Here is a list of songs i have learned:

Knocking on Heavens Door - Bob Dylan
Horse with no Name - America
Every Rose has it's Thorn - Poison
Wonderwall - Oasis
One - U2
Brown Eye Girl - Van Morrison
Dust In the Wind - Kansas
Teach Your Children - Crosby Stills & Nash
Free Falling - Tom Petty
Moon River - Audrey Hepburn
Daughters - John Mayer
Here Comes Your Man - The Pixies
Cecilia - Simon And Garfunkel
the Sound of Silence - Simon and garfunkel
Good Riddance - Greenday
Tide is High - Blondie
Silent Lucidity - Queensryche(just the intro)

Seems like a lot of songs for a beginner, but they all pretty much use the same chords.  I hope i can keep playing and improving, and this is not some phase im going through. Anyone know any other simple songs to learn?
