Today, I kept glancing over at the alarm clock and realizing how fast the time was flying by. I think I must be stuck in some sort of time warp where the time goes by twice as fast or something.

Anyways, my Valentine's Day went okay I guess. I gave M+M's to my female friends in the classes that I take, and everyone appreciated it with a high pitched "awww, thank you so much!!! I love chocolate!!", but one of them was really wierded out by it. She gave me this really bad forced smile that ended up looking like a sideways 8, then she moved seats. It's just M+M's, jeez, I was just trying to be nice, it's not like you didnt strike up conversations with me EVERY DAY.

But yeah, I'm going to stop updating this Xanga. Dont fear, because there is a good reason why. When I joined Xanga, the screenname "cApNhOwDy" wasnt available, but I pulled some strings and now, it's mine!!! Bwahahahahaha!!! So I'm going to resubscribe to you all on that other account, add you all as friends, update my blogrings, metro, networks, profile pictures, etc. It'll take a while to finally fix up my new Xanga the way that my current one is (a.k.a. perfect), but it'll be done.

So please, go visit my new Xanga site, http://www.xanga.com/cApNhOwDy

Also, with the move to a new screenname, I'll be getting a Lifetime Premium pass! w00tness.

I also have a new AIM screenname, cApNhOwDy123.

Monday, February 11, 2008

I feel compelled to update, though not much has been going on. I've basically just been watching a whole lotta movies lately. I dont even remember all of them. I do remember watching Herold and Kumar Go to White Castle today, which was very funny. There's going to be a sequel to it at the end of April, I'll have to check it out. I started watching Wristcutters, and I'm only 20 minutes through but I think I should go to bed and finish it later. After that whenever I find the time I'll watch Bridge to Terabithia. I remember reading the book version when I was a kid, and I enjoyed it, so the film version will be a good refresher. I've got to write a paper tomorrow, and make some flashcards for Psychology, and study my Film class material. I'll also need to stop by the library to pick up "Man of the Family", which is the second book in an autobiographic novel series by author Ralph Moody. I dont know if I mentioned this, but it was a series that my dad used to read to me before I went to bed, and I think that they're possibly my favorite books of all time. Good stuff, highly recommended.

I'm excited for Valentine's Day. Dunno why, I dont have any particular person in mind, but I've met alot of nice girls at this school and it'd be great to get to know any one of them better. Back in Conway, I wasnt interested in any of the girls there, I looked high and low but there were only two people that I fell in love with. Last Valentine's Day, I made chocolate covered strawberries for someone who was a very special female friend of mine at the time, but since I dont have the resources to make those and since I dont have any female friends who are my #1 right now I think I'll just give small bags of M+M's to the girls who I've become friends with since I got here. Who knows what could happen.

Anyways take care everyone, have a good week and a Happy Valentine's Day.

Tuesday, February 05, 2008

Superbowl, I didnt watch it. But I did watch the last 10 minutes of it, it was rather intense. Dont get me wrong, I was only watching because a new episode of House was on afterwards. It was a pretty good episode too, and we get another new episode on Tuesday, so w00t!

I did watch the Superbowl half-time on YouTube though, along with some of the commercials. Tom Petty played, which was great, but he's definately lost his singing ability. No offense to other Tom Petty fans, just saying that he sounded infinitely better in his prime.

I've got a 2 page paper to write and a Psych exam tomorrow, wish me luck.

Thursday, January 31, 2008

I'm trying to be vegetarian for a week, but it's only been 2 days and I've already had problems. I cant be certain that my diet was the cause of this, but last night I had constant writhing stomach pain for 2 hours, so I didnt even get a wink of sleep since I was up till 4 finishing an essay and some extra credit. It was living hell, I just kinda curled up in the fetal position and waited it out, not fun. Some of this organic food isnt all too terrible though. The organic dairy products are my favorite. The chocolate soy pudding is okay but not as good as Snack Packs. I have a couple of bottles of pear and carrot juice, as well as some organic carrots and bananas which are delicious. I'm glad that I'm trying this vegetarian thing out though, I think it's good to broaden your horizons and try new things, and it's always good to eat healthy.

And yay, they're airing new episodes of House M.D., I love that show.

I'm going to go eat some dinner and then probably conk out for the night. SLEEP NEEEEEEED.

Sunday, January 27, 2008

All semester long, I thought that my english section talked about homosexuality alot. 5 out of the 7 articles we talked about so far were about homosexuality. While I thought that this was just because my teacher was gay, I had no idea and just recently realized that I had accidentally signed up for the english section that specialized in homosexuality. Heck I thought english was english, I didnt read anything about specialized sections or anything. I just went with what fit my schedule. It's cool though, most of the articles are pretty interesting.

Other than that, not much to report, things have been very regular lately. I might go shopping for fruits/veggies tomorrow at this organic supermarket closeby. I could use some limes, pears, carrots and bananas. Hopefully they have Gatorade in bulk as well, I love me some Gatorade. After that I need to REEEEEEEAD. As much time I spend in reading, I still cant keep up with the requested reading material. Film class and Psychology, I'm talking 'bout you. I also have an English report I need to polish up, due Tuesday.

Wednesday, January 23, 2008

I tell you what, Andrew WK makes me want to party hard.

So some random events in the world of me. I spent part of the weekend making a Xanga commercial, it turned out okay so I put it on here and on YouTube. It took me much longer than I had hoped because I was really picky about the details, but it still came out kinda...... meh. Kinda seems like a waste of time now. Doesnt mean I aint proud of it though, cuz I kinda am. Oh yeah, MLK day, anyone do anything special? I ate chicken, drank grape soda, and listened to Mike Jones. On a slightly less borderline-derogatory note, although every detail of the previous sentence was indeed true, I also checked out the Wikipedia article on MLK and listened to his famous speech. I gotta tell ya, if that speech doesnt strike some form of emotion out of you, you're heartless. In my opinion it's one of if not the most powerful and inspiring speeches of all time.

I've got a new habit of stealing food out of the Markley cafeteria and taking it back to my room to eat or save for later. We're not supposed to, and it's not like it's a crime or anything, but I feel guilty since we're not supposed to. That'll wear off though, because I love doing it. Nothing beats taking home leftover beef lasagna and oreo cheesecake for later. Markley food has been delicious lately, it's normally merely okay. The beef lasagna is orgasmic, I kid you not, it's so cheesy and beefy and delicious, it is most definately the best thing that they serve there.

Yeah I lead a pretty boring life if you guys havent already noticed. I sat in and read webcomics all weekend. I think I should go get a haircut. By far the most exciting thing that's happened to me lately was meeting Sara, a Xanga friend, along with her girlfriend and their group of friends, and we played some games at Pinball Pete's. Great fun, of course. It's always semi-awkward meeting people over the internet for the first time, ice-breaking has never been my strong point.

Tuesday, January 22, 2008

So, Martin Luther King day, guess what they serve for lunch and dinner at the dorm cafeteria?

CHICKEN.

If you could write a letter to your past self (say, 10 years ago), what would you tell yourself?

Dear Michael,

Ignore all the douchebags you encounter in your life. They're that way because they want negative attention because they dont get enough positive attention in their own household. Just ignore them, trust me, because they fucking hate that so much. Dont worry man, people make fun of you now, but once you get older you'll go to a great college and they'll be stuck flipping burgers. Trust me, I'd know, I've seen it on Facebook. Plan on going to University of Michigan, majoring in Pre-dental. They've got this fucking pimp arcade up there, and the food is delicious. Start working out and start taking pills instead of creams for your acne, you'll notice a huge difference and your face will clear up quickly. Oh yeah, you're not going to get a girlfriend in high school, if you meet a girl named Pam who seems to be everything you could ask for in a girl, dont bother, she's a tease. Make the move on Jeana though, while you have the chance. Keep mowing those lawns, eventually you'll find a used red F150 with only 3000 miles in it for $12,000. You'll buy it, and it'll be fucking pimp. Go ahead and check out this band called AFI, you'll find out that they're the best band ever. You might not like them the first time you listen to them, but keep listening, you'll understand soon enough. Oh, buy a computer. I'd suggest AMD64 3200+, 1GB RAM, 9800Pro 256MB, XP Pro SP2. That'll be enough to last you until college. Trust me dude, you'll love computers. Take Computer Engineering, BTW, funnest class you'll ever have, the teacher is fucking awesome. Oh yeah, and as soon as you get a computer, join Xanga.com

I just answered this Featured Question, you can answer it Just day to day conveniences that make my life so much better. I love the pressurized hot water from that one shower in the bathroom, it's obviously better than the other three. I love taking cold drinks into that hot shower, it's a great experience and everyone should try it. More importantly, when it gets cold, I love doing laundry and then throwing the laundry that just came out hot from the dryer underneath my blankets when I go to bed. I also love the privacy of having my own room. I also love the fact that there's a convenience store down the street. I love the snowy weather in Ann Arbor. For some reason it feels warmer when it snows. I love big fat snowflakes that stick. I love looking outside my window and seeing the georgeous snow on the ground. I love my class schedule, and I love my new UoM friends.

I've got such an insane amount of homework, I dont know how in the hell I'm going to get it all done. So much to read, so many essays to write, so many flashcards to make.

Saturday, January 12, 2008

So on Thursday night I went out to watch Juno. I thought it was a pretty good movie, y'all should check it out if you havent seen it. One of the characters, the adoptive father, was a little too creepy. It seemed to me that he was hitting on Juno, which is gross and wrong in any way you look at it. The soundtrack in the movie is awesome, my only complaint is that they kept reusing the same tracks at different parts throughout the film, and that kinda irked me. But yeah, definately go check it out.

Today seems like a good day to read some books and do laundry/homework. I might go clubbing later on tonight, just all depends on how I feel.

I also finished downloading every episode of Mystery Science Theatre 3000, a cult-classic TV show that makes fun of cheesy B-movies. The download was 136GB!!!
