So here we are.....28 hours til my last final as a 1L.....and here I am studyin at 4 in the morning.  The year went by so fast, but still not fast enough.  Everytime I think about how I still have 4 1L classes to take next year and 2 more years to endure through this boot camp they call law school.  It's not like I get a prize at the end either.   Being $90 grand in the hole, studying for the bar, living with my parents again for atleast 6 months.  What's the prize?  Oh yea...i get a piece of paper that looks nice on the walls.

Because i've decided to volunteer to be an usher for the 2006 graudation and i'm taking 2 summer classes, I won't be able to go home until July 19.  That's a loooooooong way from now.  I think i'm gonna have to take a weekend trip out to either boston or joizey or i'm gonna lose it.  Being in Valpo for 6 months straight again, i don't  think i can handle it.

<sigh> oh well..back to studying.....lata

Oral arguments went great....i think i defeated the 70 year old lady.  =)  Anyway, all i have left for the semester is the case comment (which i hope to knock out this weekend) then the big property final.  So weird to almost be done, but then again, i have to start all over again for the summer.  I can't wait till the White Sox game.....all you can drink (beer and wine), all you can eat, and reserved patio seats.  After the semester ends, I think i'll take a nice long road trip w/ Steve back home to Boston.  Hopefully, this'll give me the opportunity to see some friends that I haven't seen in ages...and when i say ages, i mean 4 months =P  It'll be good to have some decent asian food again.  Anway, i'm assed out, g'night!

Random Thoughts.......

As I draw near the close of my first year here at Valpo, I realize how quickly things went.  And here I am with 1.5 months left to go.  It's exciting, yet sad to realize that my 1L year is almost gone.  So much has happened for the good and the bad, but I've learned from all my experiences and that's what's important.

I don't what's been goin on in my head, but ever since I got back from Vegas, i've been having dreams about someone special who left my life at the start of the year.  I truly hope things can work itself out in the future.  There's nothing worse than losing a true friend who's been there for you through the thick and thin.

I've been pondering my future career, since I always hear that three years in law school can go by in an instant.  I've always been the kinda guy that looks back at things and tries to relive the past.  (I suppose that's why I keep everything and take so many pictures).  After watching "The Weather Man" with Nicholas Cage, one quote stuck in my head and I've been trying to make it part of my modus operandi.  "In this shit life, we must chuck some things."  It's such a simple quote but so relevant to my situation.  Hopefully I can learn to leave the bad things of the past behind and start to live in the now.

Wow...been more than a month since my last post.   Guess it's been a busy semester.  However, time to hand in that appellate brief and cross it off my list.  Should be a lot less busy now that legal writing's pretty much over, legal research is almost over and all I have is my final for property.  Goin to vegas next week with three groups of students so should be a great time.  Gotta make enough money for Europe for the summer.  Wish me luck!

Grad mixer was a blast!  I mean..i didn't really meet anyone new from other grad programs, stuck with the law students.  But I got wasted!  Only downside was that the bar got really crowded and it was hard to get drinks so everyone was basically ordering 4 beers at a time.  Since I was working the door, I got to meet everyone coming in and they brought me a free beer later on in the night.  So I basically got f'd up for free that night, pretty sweet.  Had the MLK day party at Bailey's the next day, was pretty phat.  Gorged myself on chicken n' beer.  I would post pics from the very eventful weekend but i don't feel like uploading them onto photobucket.  However, now that I got a memory card from my pops for xmas, I can take a shitloada pics.

Got all my grades back yesterday, B's all across...which is a relief for me being that I expected to do terrible in one of my classes.  Anyway...life goes on....2nd semester....bring it on!
