Jumping ship

I am now handling my blogging at http://360.yahoo.com/sjmm316. Visit there and click on the "add" key on the left hand side to be added to the friends list. Once that's taken care of, you can read the blog. Non-friend browsers can see my profile, but not read the blog.

Hope all is well in your world. God bless. Scott.

DAILY RAMBLING:

Well, what can I say, I'm gearing up for vacation. Matthew turned 10, my marriage turned 12 and we're hitting the road next week with stops at Universal Studios and Legoland. Should be an expensive, yet totally fun time. What else are tax returns for?

Got the news that I'm starting a new job soon. It's fairly similar to the one I'm in now. I'll be an assistant city editor at the paper, working 8-5. For those who know me well, you know this will be a challenge. I've been a night-sider for like the past 10 years. But, I'll be able to all the things at home I've been missing out on. Plus, I'll be off on the weekends, which I haven't had in those same 10 years. It'll be a new challenge, but it has some definite up-side.

WHAT GOD SAYS:

He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. --Psalm 40:2, NLT

Remember, you're never alone and He won't give you anything you can't handle. God is good ... you know the rest ... all the time! God bless you all.

DAILY RAMBLING:

Chaos is here, better known as June. This Saturday, I will celebrate 12 years of marriage. Thinking about taking Julie out to a dinner theatre (shhh. ... don't tell). Then a week later, Matthew will be turning 10, so we're all in for a little birthday/swim party. Always good fun.

And ..... there is mass transition at my work and I will, for the second time in eight months, be getting a new job. There are a few options at this point, but I should know in the next two weeks. Please pray for good decision-making and God's will.

WHAT GOD SAYS:

Lord, you will grant us peace, for all we have accomplished is really from you --Isaiah 26:12, NLT

Remember this: When you're successful in anything, if it's for you, it's nothing. You can't take it with you!

DAILY RAMBLING

Was reading Acts 7 tonight when I stumbled across a very daunting image: "Heaven is my throne and the earth is my footstool." Think for a minute about God sitting on the throne and extending his feet to rest on the earth. It kind of makes me think of some kind of Hollywood giant sprawled across the universe. Let that sink in. God is an awesome God and a BIG God! He is on the throne ... duck ... look out or you'll get kicked

WHAT GOD SAYS:

"Live a life filled with love for others, following the example of Christ, who loved you and gave himself as a sacrifice to take away your sins......" -- Ephesians 5:2

I often hear people say "it's not comfortable" or "it's not convenient" to share Christ. The nails weren't comfortable or convenient.

Yes, I'm responsible for these guys!

Well, since I was last on here with any regularity, I put braces on my 9 year-old and went through a broken arm with my four-year old. There's a couple of pics at www.picturetrail.com/mayesfamily.

These guys keep me young!
