| This is interesting:
bumping into friends; bumping into friends' friends; my friends bumping into my friends' friends... on the street, in restaurants, on the bus and MTR; in Hong Kong, outside Hong Kong.
And so people say: It's a small world after all.
Or perhaps, people of a certain circle just tend to do similar things in similar places at similar times.

A beautiful accident - a patch of cake-like mould on an agar plate. I have no idea where the radial pattern comes from. The different shades of green is amazing!
We didn't press the eppendorf lid tight enough in our first PCR and evaporated all our reaction mix. So in our second trial, we pressed the lid of both the eppendorf tube and the PCR machine really tight, and here's what we get - an deformed eppendorf tube ...
