| wow... haven't done this in a while, but i noticed you all were updating like fiends so i figured i should maybe update as well, although i'm afraid you have probably all given up on me by now and won't notice.... oh well, there's nothing really big to report anyway...got my hairs cut, and dyed.. which was nice and badly needed.... did lots of baking as hopefully you all know... sorry they cookies i don't think were as good as last year, but oh well, martha let me down a lil, since i used mostly her recipes and i think she was a little cracked out writing recipes in jail or somethin... anyway... hopefully you all got your presents safe and sound, sorry for some of the crazy packing jobs... i was in a hurry.
otherwise i haven't been doin much... going to the gym, playing with my doggie, reading... i was excited to get my grades and see, not only, that dreiss hadn't screwed me over, but that i also had the best semester of my college career so far, which was pretty suprising! we went to the late night xmas eve service which was entertaining. my sis and i sat by ourselves because my dad was ushering and my mom was in the choir, so we were goofing off lots and spying on all the people that we hadn't seen in a long time and critiquing their significant others if they had brought them along... it was fairly amusing.... my friend kyle flicked some wax from his candle at me and hit me in the face.... not so nice, little brat... and i did get to see my farsi tutor, shahla, who got there a little late and came and sat by my sister and i, she's so sweet.
i got some fun presents... mostly just kitchen stuff for the house i guess, and some clothes, and the cute boots i wanted :) which i feel so grown up in! my bf gave me a cute matching hat and scarf ensemble from gap and a kids washington wizards shirt so i'll have something sweet to wear if we go to more bball games, haha you guys will like it ! we just got back from my grandma in wisconsin's house tonight ... which was pretty good, kinda boring, but it was fun to see the crazy triplets and some other cousins and my crackpot of a grandma... she was all about the hot buttered rum and made mine "extra strong!" for me. it burned. basically all we did was sit and look through all the pictures from the weddings this fall, which was nice, but a little monotonous. so yea, now i'm back at home and don't really have any big plans... just kidna chillin, hopefully mailing off some internship stuff/ searching for more places that just might want me... i did hear back from one place i sent stuff to in Charlottesville, so at least that's one potential option. other than that i guess i'll just be sittin around reading for fun, and maybe spendin a lil bit of xmas money, or at least the gift certificates... i'm going to try my damndest to save some of my xmas money, although at least i'll be making some money of my own next semester! eek! ok... that's all for now, miss you guys lots lots lots! and kels i'm so excited for you to come visit f'burg again! and if you're bored at all over break feel free to give me a call. aight... lata kids. |
