If I thought May was bad, June
was is crazy.
1st of June saw the 6th Young Singers Choral Festival committee members running around like their heads had been chopped off getting last minute things done. Then, it was time to camp over at the KL Performing Arts Centre for the entire week.

The Choral Festival started on the 3rd of June with a Children's Choir Competition. Call time was 7.30am which meant I had to leave the house by 6.30am which in turn means I have to wake up at 5.30am. Not good considering I only got home at 11.30pm the night before and slept at 2am.

On the bright side, leaving that early meant there was no traffic. On the other hand, no traffic means reaching KLPac at 7am. Thus, we look like this...

Needless to say, we got little sleep the rest of the week. In between running around to get certificates signed, selling scores, giving out food, and others, we also had to perform. Didn't go as well as it should. Oh well.
The moment the Choral Festival ended, there was a huge sigh of relief and it was time to release stress. Who needs sleep? The day after saw me doing some retail therapy at The Gardens.
Didn't buy much but had good food. It was a treat for my taste buds after one week of so-so food. Had lunch at Din Tai Fung, a Chinese Restaurant.

Appetizer - marinated cucumbers

Hot and Sour soup
Xiao Long Bao
Shrimp Fried Rice

Black Sesame
Bao
Seafood Udon
Since I didn't manage to buy anything, the following Friday saw me at KLCC. Met up with mom for lunch and shopped. Got myself a new Coach bag (it was on sale!), 2 tops and a pair of shorts from Marks & Spencer (it was on sale too!), lingerie from La Senza and a cupcake recipe book from Kinokuniya.
Walked around while waiting for mom to finish work till my feet hurt. When mom was done, we decided to eat dinner at KLCC to avoid the traffic heading back home. Had dinner at the House of Sundanese Food.

Appetizer - fish crackers with
sambal
Grilled chicken with rice, tofu and vegetable

Deep Fried Fish
Considering the amount I spent that day, you would have thought that I would quarantine myself at home for the next 2 months or so.
Wrong!
Went back to the Gardens yet again the next day. Not quite sure why. There was a reason, I just can't recall.
What I
do recall, was the huge lunch at Italiannies.

Their bread is amazing

Random shot - I liked the lighting

Spinach and Artichoke Formaggio

Italiannies Mista Salad

Classic Pizza

Marsala Mushroom Soup
All that for 2 people. How greedy, right?
I love food.
Especially desserts.
And I have been addicted to baking cupcakes. It's just so fun despite the frustration, accidents with graters and hot trays, and washing up.
Every time I find myself in a supermarket or grocery store, I gravitate to the baking section and start buying ingredients to make cupcakes.
The last 3 times I've been baking lemon cupcakes because mom bought a whole bag of lemons and I had to finish it. By the end of it all, I was sick of lemon cupcakes and I'm sure everyone I gave them to were too. So today, I decided to try baking something new.

Irish Coffee Cupcakes!

Complete with a shot or two or five of Baileys!

Don't they look yummy?
Maybe I'll do Rum & Raisin Cupcakes the next time I bake.
I need to start shopping for ingredients!
