| what to do NEXT?didi just climbed out of the crib, and fell on his face. crying his guts out. Engel is in there right now, trying to put him to sleep, and also to prevent him from doing that again, cuz on our video monitor, he actually tried it again, but we rushed in to stop him.
now, what do we do? the crib is already on the lowest slot, any lower we'll have to go to the ground.

| a great night of sleep followed by a horrendous one Monday night, great sleep. So good that both of them woke up around 1:30 to feed, then, around 4, Toby woke up, but I rocked him back to sleep almost immediately. And both of them slept till 6:30!!!!! And since Monday was a long day already, we just spent the whole day chilled at home. Then, the evening came, both of them were a little more fussier after sleep, but we didn't think any of it. but for the next 7 hours, One woke up, the other would sleep, and that alternated for the entire night, neither of us got any sleep.
One problem: a previous engagement with Engel's biola friends at Thousand Oaks around 9:30am, so in the dark, I asked if we could call her friend and cancel, cuz I was exhausted, Engel didn't want to. So, the morning rolled by, I had an exhaustion headache, cloudy mind, can't even talk, I dragged myself out of the house. on the way there, I thought it was going to be a 3- couple get together, but was I wrong. it was 4 biola gf's and ME. So, of course, with my headache, I couldn't even think of words to use when I am talking to these 4 friends of Engel's. So many times I caught myself taking 10 seconds to think of words to use. Man, it was just rough.
One other thing was right before I got into the house, I started wheezing a bit, I have been going through wheezing sessions since May, so thought it was the area, dry weather, probably would go away given a little more time, but when I got in, A DOG, but I don't have that bad of an allergy to dog hair, and then, through the next 2 hours, my wheezing didn't get better! Weird, then, I overheard the host saying "whenever there are guests, our cats just disappear." CATS!!! I have the worst allergy for CATS. thank God the last few months, I have been doing nose bidet, so not too bad of a cat allergy today, just minor wheezing. If I hadn't, man, it would have been sneezing, teary eyes, and itchy skin. When I got home, I immediately threw all my clothes into the laundry and took a shower. And the hot steam cleared my throat and sinus, it felt good. Tytus points to the Wohwoh(DOG), and Toby fearlessly goes for the closeup!
On the way back, I was dosing off a bit around 2pm, so we pulled over, Engel took the driver's seat. And I just passed out for 30 min. I don't even remember when we got home, I was so tired. After my shower, I found some rashes on Toby's arm, chest, neck and behind the ears, didn't think much of it, cuz Toby usually get bad allergies like me. And then, around 5, the allergies around the face started to show, basically the grass kind of cut his face when he tried to get up from the 2 times he fell over and ate grass, of course, he was itching like crazy, so I took him into the shower, and bathed him. This is the chair that he tipped over in, TWICE. It was a rough day energy wise, allergy wise. but it was a lot of fun seeing Engel just talk through the 2 hours with them, while I kept my mouth shut as much as I can, which is really rare. It was awesome seeing the result of their hardwork on the backyard, landscaping, planting fruits and veggies. It was awesome to see non-Asians raise their kids, a lot more easier going than a lot of parents I know. So, as much of a drag it was physically, I hope I could meet these people again, under BETTER physical conditions. by the way, i am jealous of their backyard.

| motorcycleI got some encouragements from amyJ, posting the motorcyle ACCIDENT link, (even though stats on the age group 30-40's have decreased in death and injuries) and brain LEE always ask me if I want my kids to pick up my head that's been detached from my body, cuz that's what motorcycle accidents are like, in addition to ALL family members except Engel telling me to NOT ride. so,
I will not be getting a bike any time soon. But I'll still want to get
the license though. | | |
| a good night sleep last night both slept better. gege got up to feed one time around 1:30, and slept till 6:30, that's normal for him if he's not sick. didi got up around 1 and 5, but went back to sleep after drinking milk, and slept till 6:30 as well. that's usually a good night. so, all of us got great sleep. I am not very picky at all. I can function through the day and work WELL if it was like this everyday. but it isn't. cuz some days, they could get up and just hang out for 2 hours, laughing and playing or crying, WHILE we are trying to sleep. So, we are thankful for good nights.
this morning, after they played, we took them to Torrance. Funky took KT to Huntington Beach to watch a surfing competition and also surfed a little as well, and we just stayed home to hang out with her parents. Gege and did were super nice today, you can tell cuz they had great rest so they played well, without fuss. Gege's smile was back, it's great seeing that smile back.
around 1:30, they started tipping over, falling everywhere, getting hurt, those are the signs that they are tired, so, we packed them in the car, and drove out. that's usually how they fall asleep when we are out to Torrance, cuz the grandparents' house is so different to them, they just want to touch everything and look at everything, so no way to sleep there. Today. we drove to redondo and took pictures of cool house colors we saw. We found quite a few houses that kind of looked the same, kind of like all the mansions in Arcadia, they all looked different, but kind of the same, but different, can't really explain it.
here are the few cool ones we saw. all pictures taken with our cellphone. this one has wood panels everywhere, great color, but we won't be able to afford it. must be expensive. like the contrast to the trims and garage door.
this one will be pretty close to our front, a huge porch. I specifically asked the architect to draw that in. But love the green with dark green.
blue with white, great idea. this one with a cool porch, and a cool stair case to go into it.
these are the more modern looking ones, kind of the same, kind of not, all with WOOD garage doors! really necessary? these have arches and pillars.

afterwards, we drove by a starbucks, got a java chip frap to share, (thanks to the gift cards from my students, or else, I'll be too cheap to go) and a cup of water, I always ask for the cup of water, cuz the drink is always too sweet for me, so I have to wash it down or I'll feel too guilty for ingesting so many empty calories. I brought my ipod touch, got to the log in screen, and the babies started crying, so I didn't get to test to see if it actually worked. we got back to her parents, and went to swim there. I am trying to teach the twins how to blow air in the water, but so far, no success, instead of blowing, they swallowed a few mouthful of water, so we had to stop.
I like coming to Torrance, cuz everyone wants to hold the kids, so we got 4 more pairs of hands to handle the kids, KT, grandma, and engel's parents, and today, Funky was there too, so 5 more pairs of eyes to watch them while they walked around outside, 5 more pairs of hands to hand them to when tired, so I like it, I really appreciate coming here. | | |
| extra hands so, after the morning, we didn't get to nap, and then, went to Sami's bday bash. The kids played, but Tytus was kind of scared of the water. But I kept Toby in. They ate a whole bunch of Dinosaur Chicken Nuggets, and for the adults, we had Shaka's. Misubi, BBQ Beef and the chicken wings, oh man!!! they were hmmmmmm hmmmmm good. but too bad, the kids were getting fussy, had to get down, and when they are down, we had to watch their every move, or they'll eat leaves, grass, so we could eat too much. I would have downed more food if given the chance. we came home, they were fast asleep in the car, but to our surprised, woke up in 40 min. but they played well for the rest of the afternoon. During the dinner, they were quite fussy, possibly because they didn't nap well in the afternoon. So, everyone quickly ate, and took them outside, have them watch my mom water the lawn. Joe and Iris also put them on the stroller and strolled around the neighborhood while I washed the dishes and mopped the floor, it gets messy with kids around.
with them around, we usually can't eat enough or a prolonged period of time if there weren't helping hands. we ended up not be able to do a lot of things. we can't switch, we can't take turns, cuz both of them demand a lot of attention from us. that's why we usually don't go out, cuz it's even hard at home, but it's always nice to be invited to places with great food.
