| I haven't been on xanga for ages... I've been busy lately because I'm going through some changes in my life. I'm still adapting to some changes so I don't really have the time to go online anymore.. I'm still on my internship (although it is ending) and still taking a course... Soon I'll be starting to study for another actuarial professional exam... I'm also trying to find another internship in summer in the US with the help of bf - what I plan to do is to switch a semester of school with work... I am supposed to be at school in summer and going on an internship in fall, but I'm trying to switch them around so I could work in summer and go to school in fall. Hopefully this will work out. Life goes on, bon courage.

| Belated Happy New Year + UpdateHappy new year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have a nice semester everyone
I have started my internship at Desjardins... I don't know whether I should hold my comments about this job or tell about my impression of it... Ok, I will comment about it from what I know of it... So thus far, the job is umm... mesmerizing... I'm still trying hard to adapt I guess... I find it very very very tough and hard until now... this is due to several reasons:
1) There was no training at all. I got to work on the 8th, all my boss gave me was some instructions on a monthly project that I have to complete all by myself. She told me to read it and complete it ASAP... It's as if I am expected to know the content of the project before coming to work... It's sort of unfair because I haven't even been given the chance of knowing about the nature of the project... 2) I have a lot of trouble with MS Excel + Access... I think my boss expected me to know a lot of the functions in Excel (and in French as well)... but in fact I knew pretty much none... So I gotta learn Excel + Access in FRENCH... HeEHEehhe :S 3) Everybody speaks French...(Obviously, it's a French company) There are A LOT of terms I have to get accustomed to... I also have to get used to type on a French keyboard and using the French computer... Also, another thing that bugs me is that everybody in the department is like 40 yrs old +, so I have no common grounds with them therefore this makes it very hard for me to be acquainted with them.
Hopefully things will turn out better... because I'm also taking a course at night every Tuesday and last Tuesday I was so exhausted from work that I slept all the way through the class :-S (which rarely happens to me)...
At least I have some good news, I passed FM!!!!! hahahaha, that means pay raise tiiiime HAha!!

| 3 finals down.. ONE MORE TO GO... and it's... dum dum dum... actuuuuuuarial... the killer
A power outage ocurred in my intro to finance final... twas hilarious... it was a final from 7 to 10pm... and the power went out around 9:45... and plus we were in the basement so when the power got cut... HAHAHA i couldn't see a thing for like 2 minutes... Yaaa... The downside is that the power didn't come back for about 10-15 minutes so we had to submit the unfinished work... Luckily I've finished the whole exam but we lost at least 20-25 minutes of the final (because we actually started around 7:10pm, power went out at 9:45...)... Also.. JMSB is being an ass because the finance department have decided NOT to give any marks to compensate for the time loss. All it's doing is that it's gonna "adjust grades generously" (ya right)... This. Really. Stinks.
But anyhow, it's already over and I can't do anything anymore so bleeh.. the heck with it...
