The History of Norman Clature Day

This is the story of a young boy who is becoming a young man.  His name is Eric Kyle Herendeen.  He is the "stotastic" son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Herendeen.  Now, being the son of Norman, he has the resemblance of his father.  Upon noting this, I began to refer to Eric as Norman.

Enter Mr. M. L. Musick: Head of the Lakeland Christian School Sci. Dept.  Somehow during one of his lectures, Mr. Musick mentioned something about nomenclature.  Then sprung the hybrid and somewhat adulterated name, Norman Clature.  Everybody (by everybody, I mean me) at school began calling Eric, Norman or Norman Clature.

Then it happened.  That September 11th, 2001.  The day seemed to be another stoic school day.  But little did we know, this day would change history forever.  At approximately 9am, I declared that day to be Norman Clature Day!  Eric's/Norman Clature's popularity had already grown to lengths unknown.  For as I declared Norman Clature Day as I was walking into The Royal Doyle's Honors History room, terrorists struck down our twin Trade Towers in and with utter rebellion and defiance against Norman Clature!

The strong supporters of Norman Clature were of course saddened and angry at this act, but would and will not let the terrorists ruin this special holiday observed, now nationwide.  The first annual Norman Clature Day was observed with less gusto and fervor, for obvious reasons.  But, the proceeding NCDays were extravagantly and lavishly celebrated.  With each year, more and more people joined in with the festivities.  The holiday is continually expanding obviously due to Norman Clature's outstanding popularity (especially with the ladies... but that's another story).

On this very special day many activities are held.  They include, and are not limited to the following: beautiful dates, flowers, a toast given by our honored, scripture reading, a prayer, the consumption of rare & expensive pizzas, laughter, the unique Norman Clature Dance (authored by Norman himself!), fellowship, and games.

Some of you... Many of you may be wondering, "Are girls allowed to participate?"  This is considered a FAQ.  The official answer is a conditional, yes.  Females celebrating NCDay may participate only if they bring food in large enough volumes for the consumption of approximately five to ten males, or if they just bring food.  However, being the gracious honored that he is, Norman Clature has allowed for all girls to attend only with the obligation to bring food.

Our 6th annual Norman Clature Day will be held separately around the world.  It seems as if many of us are not going to be able to gather together for a grand celebration of the honored.  However, he is in our minds and prayers.  Wherever you find yourself, may you have a blessed Norman Clature Day.

I Samuel 7:12
Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen.  He named it Ebenezer, saying, "Thus far has the Lord helped us."

The "Purple Passion" of which you inquire is everything that you are. It is the deepness of blue mixed with the fireryness of red. Both friged and burning. You are everything. Without you, there would be no sunrise, no sunset. All we would have is a mundane black and white. Your "Purple Passion" gives hopes to countless thousands. Beause of it, wars have been fought, lost, and won. Men have given their lives in an attempt to embody everything which you are.
