| Well, we finally made it to Spring Break. I can't believe school is almost over. This school year has flown by. Can you believe my baby will be in high school next year? Wow, how time flies!! She has grown up so much. It seems like it was yesterday when she was coming home from the hospital. I'm so happy she has grown up to be such a Godly young lady. Angel Miller has been a wonderful mentor for her. Brianna has alway said that Angel was one of her favorite people. She still has a picture of her and Angel from one of the MC Banquets several years ago. Angel comes and picks up Brianna and spends time with her. God has placed Angel in Brianna's life. She is so blessed to have Angel. I know she covers Brianna in prayer daily. I couldn't ask for a better person for Brianna to look up to. Well, Ren called and asked Brian if he could come to church with us about 2 weeks ago. He came and even went to the altar. God is really dealing with Ren. We know that God something in store for him. Ren had legally changed is name to Darc Fallen Angel, but now he is realizing he made a mistake. He wants to change is name to something better. Ren is still confused about things. We are praying that God will open his eyes to things around him and on the inside of him. He will be 21 year old this September. Remember him in your prayers. Brian will be leaving to go overseas for the month of April. Don't worry, he's not going to the desert. It's still hard to see him leave and not have him around for a month. Keep him in your prayers. Ok, I told you I would post a picture of me after my weight loss. I finally made a picture that I can post. I put on my Easter dress to show Brian the other night and the took this picture. I have lost a total of 23 pounds. I'm kind of at a stand still right now, but at least I'm not gaining any. I have felt so much better and I enjoy walking and exercising. I was able to stop taking my blood pressure medicine!! I can only give God the glory for all that has happened!! Spring Break 2007 Spring Break 2008

| Wow, it's been a long time since I've updated. It seems like there's just not enough hours in the day to get everything done. Christmas season is so busy. Besides buying gifts, decorating and cooking, we also have "Scrooge" at Kingwood. At least working in the school system I am allowed two weeks off . Now that all this is over, I can rest for a few days before going back to work. Even though it was very busy, we had a wonderful Christmas. It's always great to spend time with family and friends. We were able to spend time with our friends, Trina and Joel Sharpe. My sister and her family came in from Rome, GA. for Christmas. We also spent time with Brian's family in Pell City, AL. Like I said, it was busy but also lots of fun. Well, on another good note.....I am 20 pounds lighter!!!!! I have always had a problem losing weight. In January, 2007 I found out I had a thyroid problem and high blood pressure. I started taking medication for both of these issues. I really wanted to lose weight and feel better. I started Weight Watchers on November 1, 2007. I started losing weight immediately. I went back to the doctor to get my thyroid levels checked again the week before Christmas. The nurse called me on December 20th and told me that my thyroid levels are now in the normal range!!! My blood pressure is looking better. I started out wearing a size 12 and now I wear a size 6!!!! Can you believe it!!!! I haven't seen a size 6 since I was in middle school. I am feeling so much better. I haven't met my goal yet, but I'm getting there. I'm so excited!!! I'll have to upload some before and after pictures soon. I guess that's all for now. I hope everyone has a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!! | | |
| Wow, it's been a long time since my last update. I read everyone's updates when they come through, but I don't take time to keep my site updated. There has been a lot of stuff going on. My mom was in the hospital a few weeks ago because she had a TIA (mini stroke). My step-son, Ren, is in a Gothic lifestyle that is really pulling him down. This has really been hard on us. It's been one thing after another since August. Our family has been going through a valley, but I know the moutaintop is very near!!! On a brighter note....We are finally going to Disney World in a few weeks. If you remember, Brianna and 3 other girls from her cheerleading squad made All American Spirit Team and will be performing in the Disney Parade. I will post pictures as soon as we get back. We are so excited. This is a much needed vacation. I wanted to post these pictures. Brian went in the laundry room this morning and found our dog, Pickles asleep with a frog on top of his blanket. Pickles never knew the frog was there. I guess the frog came through the dog door during the night.

| Congratulations Brianna Brianna went to cheer camp a few weeks ago and had a wonderful time. They brought in a cheerleader from AmeriCheer to teach the girls dances, cheers and chants. We received a call from her cheerleading coach on Tuesday saying that Brianna and three other girls on the squad had superior ratings and were given a spot on the All-American Spirit Team with AmeriCheer. That's great considering there are 10 girls on Brianna's squad. We are so excited!!! This honor is given by AmeriCheer based on your performance during camp. As a member of the Team she will get to perform at Disney World and be in the Thanksgiving Day Parade in Chicago this November. We may not make it to Chicago, but we definately want to go to Disney World. We will be doing some funding raising to get there. If you would like to contribute, please let us know. | | |
| Well, we finally had my dad's surprise party on Saturday. I couldn't believe everyone kept it a secret for so long. My dad works out of town, so it was a little easier to get things done without him knowing about it. He got home from out of town on Saturday around 11 AM and the party started at 3 PM. We were all worried that he would not make it home in time. My brother, Randy, picked him up to "take him out to eat". They needed to stop by and pick up my neice and her "art show" in Montevallo. When my dad came in to see her "art project" he got the surprise of his life. He walked in and just stood in the doorway. We yelled "Happy Birthday" and he just stood there in shock. He keeps telling us that was the best thing we could have ever done. We had a wonderful turn out, around 55 people. Everyone had a wonderful time of fellowship. Here are some pictures from the party...
The picture on the above is my dad around age 13. This picture below is my dad at his birthday party. He is holding the card he received from his brother .
Happy 60th Birthday!!! We Love You!!!
