| Wow...it has been so long since I have done a real update...you will soon understand why!
Lets start with Italy. All I can say is amazing. I felt a little out of place at first, but after being there for only a short time I was right in the swing of things. I was busy taking 6 credits, two classes, with a prof from Grand Valley...so that was cool because I didn't have to worry about the language barrier at least not while in class. I had a lot of time to travel also. I was always off somewhere...Venice, Rome, Bologna, Sienna, Pisa, Rimini, San Marino, and the Marrama Region, just to name a few. I met some amazing people!! Many other study abroad students from all over the US..so that was sweet...I made friends with some from our hotel the first night. I was in Italy for a total of 6 1/2 weeks, and it was a wonderful experience!
Then comes Springhill! WOW, WOW, WOW! I can't even explain how amazing this place is. I got to spend my whole summer riding the zipline, playing 6 square, swimming, launching people off the blob, and the list goes on. The best part is that I got to lead kids to Christ while doing it. Every week I was in charge of 8-10 girls who I lead in two bible studies everyday, but I also got to interact with all the girls from my unit and was able to get close to them as well. I also made amazing friends while working at SH. A ton of Grand Valley people work there and I got to know them really well..it will be awesome hanging out with them this year at school. They already asked me to come back for next summer...I know its a long time away...but I am already looking forward to it!
Lets see what else have I been up to....I am going on 4 months with the most amazing guy a girl could ask for. Our relationship is more wonderful that anything I could ask for, and we are lucky to have the smae amazing friends. I just got back from spring hill yesterday, and it is so great to know that I will finally be able to see Tim and all my friends all the time now. Between Italy and then spring hill I was lucky if I even got to see Tim a few hours a week. He was amazing about it though...and this past 4 months have been the most amazing of the life thus far.
SO now you may understand a little why my xanga has been so negelcted this summer. I am not promising that I will suddenly be back to my usual updates, school starts next week and I can already feel the stress piling on. Plus I many be working two jobs this year...when last year I didn't have any...so updates could be scarce. Never the less I will eventually update you on my life...because I know that you are all dying to know...lol! |
