Dear XangaI'm sorry for neglecting you. I've been very busy with college. Last night one of my friends said something on aim that made me literally lol: friend (11:41:41 PM): you're a catholic AND a vegetarian??!?! friend (11:42:03 PM): you're like... the first person I've met who's ACTUALLY going to get into heaven makes me feel good about myself lol. thats one thing that has been fairly easy at u of m is being a vegetarian, the dorm I live in always has at least one vegan entree. college has been a big adjustment though. the first night i was here I just sat in my room and was very wroried I wouldn't make any friends. But thanks to the outgoingness of everyone during welcome week I did successfully make a lot of friends. I already have found "my group" and of course have other friends on the side. We had so much fun during welcome week, but now I only really see them for meals and on weekends because homework consumes our lives. The workload is pretty intense, but I suppose that is expected when you go off to college. I Spanish: I was slightly worried going into intensive spanish 2 because I didn't want things to be more than I could handle, but thus far I've been able to keep up. The workload can be heavy, but the difficulty of the work has been bearable thus far. Cultural Anthropolgy: Initially I was disappointed with the class because my own ignorance. I thought this would be a class where we study other cultures, but really its a class where learn about how anthropologists study other cultures, but it's okay because a biproduct of that is learning about other cultures. And I'm really excited for the book were gonna read about a woman in a remote African village. So far the work load has managable and fairly easy. World Religion: This class has an interesting set up of three professors on a rotation schedule. I've yet really to get into the swing of things and this class is a source of stress. Right now were trying to get the broad review of each religion (Islam, Christianity, and Judaism) but it is leaving me with a lot of unanswered questions and a lot of confusing information being throw at me. The homework for this class is substancial and often difficult in comprehension, which is confusing because someone made this class sound like an easy A. All I know is one of the professors is probably the most interesting man I've ever met lol. At this point I plan on doing DoRAK (Do Random Acts of Kindness) which is a club where you do jus that. I'm in RC singers which is a ensemble choir that meets twice a week. I was considering bowling club but I don't think I'll have time this semester. I'm currently signed up to be a spanish catechist, but I don't think I have the time for that either. I have an interview to see if I can be basically a tutor for spanish kids, which would be extrmely fun. And then I plan on doing a dance/fitness class once a week with my friend Lauren. So I'm definitely finding ways to keep busy outside of homework. Well I think that's all the time I can take away from homework because I have a really busy schedule. Lates peeps. |
