| not forgottenit has been ages since i've last logged in here.i'm surprised that xanga isn't blocked at the client site like fb or myspace. i guess it goes to show that xanga isn't considered a social networking site :)
anyways, my ramblings have been a lot about work.
to quit, to stick it out, to quit, to honor God.
to move to nyc, or stay in chicago, to go somewhere i've never been?
my boy ali made an interesting comment: "you work in philly, you live in chicago, but lfcc is your home"
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus Phil 4:6-7
| you go do the math...no food writing in this one. although this is the first time ever since i've been traveling to philly that i've been an early arrival. assume i fly back to chicago an average of 3 times a month.
you go do the math on that one.
this pay period, feb 16-29, has a total of 10 workdays. i've logged (on the "light" side) 127 hours.
you go do the math to see how much life has been squeezed out of me.
tomorrow, i'm going to refinance my condo. i have to write a check.
nevermind, i'll let my closer do the math on that one....

| randomnesshere goes some random thoughts... they prob have no rhyme or reason, but i feel like posting it. if you don't like it, don't read it!
working crazy late hours the past couple of weeks. 15-16 hour days have become the norm. see the light of day? yeah, i do, when i run out to grab my lunch. good thing is that i haven't had to pay for dinner for the past 2 weeks, but i equate my extra hours as "paying" a price for my "free" food. i'm helping to support the release 2 training, (even though i'm officially part of release 3)
I'm gonna get some overtime this month. first time this project that i'm gonna see a few extra dollars...
...which i just spent on a gps. garmin c550.
refinancing my house in chicago. gonna save a couple hundred dollars. yay!
hopefully getting my identity theft cleared up and getting a new cellphone. woohoo, looking forward to that!
getting a chance to hang out with some friends next week that i haven't seen in almost a year. :)
making my contacts over in asia. perhaps i'll be joining the chu's over there for work? seek and knock and maybe that door will open?
my cravings for deep fried foods and chocolate are intensifying. soda, not so much. but i've been really hankering for boston cream doughnuts and fried chicken. i didn't even get any halal when i was in nyc!
argh. easter is a month away. Lord, take away this thorn in my side or better yet, teach me your ways so i might know your will.
| too much meat, is NOT a good thingso i've been pretty good about my eating habits from the start of the year. today was an exception.
i've moved on to another role on the project along with donnyv. fernando and jason are both rolling off the project at months end. i must admit, the self-service team has been great to work with and especially my group the P&F team (donnyv, wogene and me).
so tonight we had a self-service dinner/celebration. we went to fogo de chao's where i probably ate enough meat for 5 people. i know for sure i ate more meat than i had the entire year of 2008 thus far. i'm now lying on my stomach feeling extremely sick.
here's a group shot. and then hank tapping out.

| mardi gras!so fat tuesday came and went without much fanfare.
i ended up working late until 11pm at the office.
i ended up craving chocolate and fried stuff (mainly boston creme donuts)
i ended up not having much at home to eat (except for my tuna salad that i forgot to bring with me to work)
i ended up committing my fears and desires to the Lord by acknowledging a thorn in my side.
i ended up giving up chocolate, soda, deep fried foods, and pizza.
may the Lord be sufficient for me.
