8/12. teddy made the most delicious frozen margaritas and pina coladas! (love having a blender) we also grilled burgers and nathan hot dogs.. yum! unfortunately, i don't have any pictures from the bbq. guess i was too busy eating.. oops.

| long beach 6.17we rented a zipcar and drove down to long beach for the day. from the start the weather looked bleak, but we were determined to make the best of it. on the way down, it actually started sprinkling! but it was too late to turn back, haha. anyway, it all turned out ok. every once in awhile at the beach, the sun actually peeked out from the clouds. we spent the afternoon playing soccer + football. it was so tiring running in the sand! the next day i was soo sore. even when i sneezed, my sides would ache. that's how in shape i am..

coney island 6.19 on monday teddy + i randomly decided to go to coney island since we've never been. took freaking forever to get there by subway! the beach wasn't as nice as long beach, but we got to try the original nathan's + ride the pirate ship!

| riviera maya, mexico!
m a y 2 7 - j u n e 3teddy and i recently took a trip to riviera maya, just south of cancun. it was soooooo fun and relaxing. we stayed at barcelo maya beach, an all-inclusive resort along the caribbean ocean. all food and drinks (and non-motorized water sports) are included! i don't even remember how many pina coladas and bacardi + cokes i drank while i was there =)playa del carmen

first, we went to an inlet, where fresh water meets the ocean. the water looked oily and weird, but we saw lots of fish. then our guides made us swim out into the ocean. it was such a work out! there weren't even that many fish out there, so then we just swam back. so pointless, haha -_-

stop #2: an underground cenote (sinkhole) with stalactites and funky underwater rock formations. i've never seen anything like it! the water very "refreshing," since not much sunlight reaches down there. the water was also pretty deep for the most part - we couldn't even touch the bottom!

this was the last stop of excursion. it was the perfect swimming hole, with a ledge you could jump off of into the warm water.

when we weren't doing touristy things, we hung out at the hotel. we swam in the ocean, laid out by the beach, played in the pool (there were swim-up bars!), visited the buffet, jetskied, and kayaked. OMG, we saw these 2 ppl having sex on a kayak! all the weight was on one end of the kayak, so the other end was totally out of the water! it was so shocking! at nite, we'd go to "jaguar discotheque," this brand new club rite in our resort. it was nicer than a lot of clubs in the US. there were go-go dancers, 5-yr-old hip hop, unlimited drinks, and nightly cha-cha slide. wat more could u want?!!
