  • I am going home in 2 weeks. I miss home, but I miss here too. Some good things i am grateful of:

I got closer to God. I thank God for leading me to the church I am attending in Japan right now. I get to see Christianity in a new light and I have renewed faith God is with me all the time. He will bless me and use me for his good purpose and I got to go to a Christian conference where I made new friends and performed on stage too.

My kids are fun and nice. Although some of them were little brats in the beginning, but they gave me cards, letters, flowers, cookies and handmade gifts to name a few. Some even took pictures of me with their cell phones.

I made alot of new friends in this city and some were from Scotland, england, canada, jamaica, australia, and japan, simply all over the world.

  • I went to Tokyo on saturday with one of my colleagues. HOnestly, going to tokyo without a plan is pretty boring coz u don:t have any idea where to go and i totally forgot to bring my guudebook. I love going there coz its like going home..its so much like HK..the scenery, the people, i can't necessarily say its good..but its familiar.

so anyways, i sorta browsed around, and went for dinner..making okonomiyaki myself!! its actually pretty good..comes in a bowl..and all u have to do is mix it and fry it..lol easy and simple but heaven with mayonnaise.

btw, i made water dumplings tonite. Can't say its the prettiest thing on earth (hey its my first time!) but the taste isnt bad i must say...enjoyed it with soysauce..and yes i made the insides..ofcourse i bought the dumpling skins..lol

but some minced chicken, onions, chives with salt, pepper, vinegar, sugar and an egg mixed then wrap them up and shimmer them for 5-10 minutes...perfect ;)
...and guess what? there's kripsy creme!!!

  • I got complained by a mother.
THe story goes like this. I am teaching a class where the japanese teacher should be there but she was sick so I am teaching alone. The kids are around 2-4 years old. A kid came in, took off his shoes but kept saying he doesnt want his mother to leave. I played with the other kid while watching them, waiting to see when the kid would want to stay then I can give his name badge to him. The mother suddenly got really mad and yelled to the kid to wear his shoes and banged the door and left without saying bye to me.
Then on my BIRTHDAY today, i received a call from my performance supervisor telling me that the parent complained that i ignored her son and that she wants her money back coz her son didnt get to have the lesson.
My performance supervisor was real nice about it, comforting me that it should be ok and that if the kid really quit..its their problem anyways.
Still i was pretty down about this since its my b-day and i never expected the parent to actually complain wanting their money back. I did call the japanese teacher last night to tell her about it and that she should probably call the parent to apologize for me if possible
So anyways, didn:t expect this to happen on my b-day

  • Japan is just so inefficient in so many ways. I applied earlier for internet. They sent me a card requesting me to pay through my bank account. So i actually went to the bank to do the procedures. I then received the original card sent back to me yesterday saying that my account number was wrong. I rechecked my passbook and it was completely RIGHT. i:m like gosh.
Absolutely frustrated coz i waited 2 months for my internet!

this is the living room and the kitchen of my house..sorry if its kinda fuzzy..took it with my phone and bluetoothed to my computer..lol and i can:t rotate them..so gomen so rotate your heads 90 degrees and imagine me sitting in front of the lil desk typing on my computer right at this moment!

i JUST met a girl living in the apartment right below me. She heard me speaking english with my colleague who took me home from our meeting today in shizuoka city and she waited for me to come up and introduced herself. Turns out that shes in a program that teaches in a elementary school and will be here for about 6 months. she is a jamaican who was bought up in canada. Sounds pretty good! lol
but my working hours are still pretty unstable..so i really hope that i can hang out with her..she seems pretty nice!

Anyways, thats all for now ppl! update me with your lives too!
