| | predators and policemenok.. so im sitting there, watching Hell's Kitchen, and then the commercials come on. well, that itself it obviously very annoying, but then this commercial comes on about what the news was going to be about for that night. and this time, it was about "online predators" that got me to think...
why do people feel threatened by "online predators" (ok.... i'm going to cal them OPs now, cause that;s really annoying to type out)?
i mean seriously.. i really dont blame the OPs for the news stories. i blame the "victims". they're the ones that seem to always subject themselves to stuff like that. ok... the OPs will continue to do what they do. but its usually up to the victim to decide whether or not they will give in. i mean.. when you enter a chatroom, you should know the risks. if youre a full grown adult, and knows how to use chatrooms, and know what youre looking for, then im pretty sure youve seen stories about OPs. and youd think that theyd be more careful about stuff like that.
but then they go on there, and then they start chatting it up with someone. now.. if some stranger asks you for your personal info, you obviously dont give it to them. and one of the more common messaging programs for chats, is AIM. and in AIM, its an option whether or not youre going to put your address. if you dont want to get stalked or killed or something, DONT PUT YOUR ADDRESS DOWN. its not that hard. ok.. if youre looking for those no-strings-attached fun, obviously dont join stuff where your address and more personal info is asked, and required. that's jsut asking for a raping.
so if say...you know youre using a program that does NOT ask for your address and all that juicy goodness, and then some dude starts hittin on yah, telling you to strip for him on camera. and even though u say no, he keeps insisting, to a point where he's not threatening to kill you or something if you dont do it.
ok.. first off, lets stay off the cameras if youre hoping for a one-night-stand thing, shall we? not only are you exposing your privates for the cyber world to see, youre also showing of WHO YOU ARE. cause once your face shows, you never know if that person has a photographic memory. and if they do, then youre kinda screwed now, arent cha? so lay off the cameras, and stick with your trust palm and fingers eh?
and 2nd-ly, if you know you did not give out personal info onto that program, whats the freaking problem? if theyre threatening to burn ur house down, how do they expect to find it? unless you expose your face.. then they can probably find someone to stalk you or something (you never know what kind of connections people have). just you know.. dont click any sort of link they give you. those hackers mannnnn.. they insane.
come'on people.. just ..stick to the porn sites, and them trusty organs of yours that your momma gave you, alright? you know the risks of chatrooms, especially sex-oriented chats. theyre not going to be calm, innocent people. they want raw animal sex....online. and some will go at any lengths to get it.
when you do suff like, that, really, its kind of your fault if youre being "attacked" you knew the risks, and you know there are dangers. if you give out your personal info to some dude you dont even know, then well.... kinda your wrong isnt it?
so stop with the complaining.
and kids that are subjected to OPs on mySpac[, theyre old enough to use mySpace, so theyre old enough to know what to do and what not to do. "dont talk to strangers.." ever heard of that?
OPs target their victims, and its relaly up to the "victim" to decide what to do. if you give up personal info, you just screwed yourself. if you just play it safe, and just block/ignore them, then you should be fine.
but if you take all precautions and suddenly you find yourself getting a BADDD feeling and vibe around your home-area, THEN you should definitely report it, and start panicking....ok..maybe not panic.. then you'll stop htinking rationally. stay calm, and dial 9-1-1 or something. and remember to report that person to whatever program youre using.
and then, there was breaking news of a "highspeed chase" ..they were going 40mph.
just cut in front of the car already good lord!
and when he got off and started running, the police were on his tail in the car chase, why didnt they run after him??? i know i cant do better, but im just asking...
i know there are regulations to follow, but... once youre on food, that guys cant do that much damage right?? no wait.. he was armed. nevermind.
and curse to the policeman that shot one unarmed man, and to the other for beating a an unarmed man with his stick, cause they guy didnt follow instructions. the first did follow instructions,a nd the 2nd guy didnt follow, cause it turns out, he was an immigrant, and could speak only spanish.
