Okay so it has been a while since I have last updated my site. So let's see...
Satan has been attacking Liberty campus like I have never seen before. This entire weekend has been pure "havoc." On Friday the power went out and yet we still had convo (no fear, we still heard Jerry). After classes got cancelled the power went on and then out again. Campus Church I must say was interesting in the Schilling both in the morning and at night. However in light of these recent events, it made me so thankful that I have a Savior to turn to through it all. Of course this nothing that big compared to the events in Pakistan, but it made a significant impact. So many times we take the Lord's blessing's for granted, not realzing how lucky we truly are. The message Pastor Johnny Moore gave this morning was AMAZING! Absolutely one of the best to put things in perspective. Everyday millions of people in Asia and throughout the middle east risk their lives to worship Christ. To meet in a gym with one light and be free to worship would be heaven for them. And yet this weekend we complained about the adjustments we have had to make! Praise God that we can even meet! To God be the glory forever and ever.
On the talk of music....I LOVED THE NICKEL CREEK CONCERT! For my girls in high school that understood my love for Mr. John Mayer, get this, Nickel Creek is on the same level, quite possibly inching past him! Gosh I can't believe I said it! Oh well there it is folks, they are better than John! The amazing God-given guitar/mandilon/violin talent they have is incredible. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the concert and highly recommend!
So what's more freaky than meeting an old friend? Meeting one that you met in THAILAND. Can you believe it?? Freaky as all get out! So there were four of us that went to a concert and I one guy named Josh was a missionary. I knew he'd been to Thailand and we talked about it a little bit in the car on the way but I didn't realize how long he had been there. Afterwards driving home he was like where did you go, what did you do, the usual stuff. Then..
Josh: Did you stay at Ambassador City?
Christy: Yes and it was amazing...why?
Josh: Were you there in Janruary?
Christy: Uh, yeah. Did you climb to the top of the building one night?
Josh: Yeah! By chance did you play ultimate frisbee?
Christy: Yeah, my friend and I lead it!
I know that was incredibly long but I thought it was ironic. However it really began to freak me out when they knew Daniel! How odd would that be that he new one of my guy friend's who I hung out with a lot from church!Daniel Cox, it makes me laugh!
Other than those recent events nothing is new. God is still great and I am humbled that He has blessed me so much! I was reading in Ecclesiastes about going into His presence, it really hit home!
"Gaurd your steps when you go to the house of God. Go near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools, who do not know that they do wrong. Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God. God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few..." Ecclesiastes 5:1&2
